    Michael J Bates thumbnail
Michael J Bates What a wonderfully skewed EP that blends past with future.
    It's like a mash-up of 70's meets 90's meets 2030's.
I'm saying this as a fellow time traveller..... Favorite track: Lakeland Opal.

Warpfan If you like mid-90s Warp/Skam records electronic wizardry, you will love this album. Neil Scrivin is a cassette-tape splicing genius, and has created an album of interplanetary electronic funk - with liquid drum and bass as a distant cousin. Tracks #1, #2, #5, and #8 are brighter tunes, while the rest are moodier soundtracks. To dive right onto the dancefloor, go to 2:30 in Cassential and let it ride. (Then go buy PG's first album, Chrome Position, which throws some BoC into the mix). Favorite track: Cassential.
    Xero thumbnail
Xero Wow, that’s some breathtaking stuff. All of it. Couldn’t have asked for a better exploration this morning. You have a wonder vision.

Thank you for this passage. Favorite track: Cassential.

    Goosebumps.

A stunningly crafted ambience. Looming synth passages, tribal ancient-sounding drums, nature recordings, dialogue snippets and many, many other subtle details. This is all done in an attempt to capture the beauty of nature and planet Earth as a whole. Emotionally it's heartbreaking but also comforting. In my opinion all of this adds up to form one of the best pieces of music I have ever seen. Favorite track: On Earth.
    Heath Rezabek thumbnail
Heath Rezabek It's impossible to describe the lasting impact 1194 has had on me since I heard On Earth for the first time at 22 in 94. Days spent with friends making coffee and listening to this album (and its em:t kin), creating in common like tomorrow was vast and made of pure possibility. Ambient electronica owes 1194 a debt that is deep and wide. In honor of the time and space gifted me by this music, I'm going to break with tradition in naming my favorite track. Infinite space. Infinite time. woob 1194 Favorite track: Wuub.
    Ryall thumbnail
Ryall I think this might be my favourite album of all time. Exquisitely high production, wonderfully atmospheric, it's a modern day masterpiece. Favorite track: On Earth.
