Willie This album is great, and I'm glad a CD is offered, but $26 shipped for a CD in the most minimal packaging possible seems a bit excessive.

bink absolutely their best work so far and it’s not even close… ulrika spacek is such a comforting band and absolutely nail at being a reflection of the isolated digital age. i often joke about their work being perfect for if you get hypothermia but deadass i hold that comparison to the highest regard. their music always hits like no other ESPECIALLY during the winter time. Favorite track: Weights & Measures.

Brian Meade Sensational stuff. Each album gets better and better. Total collage of sounds and beats. Incredible headphone experience Favorite track: This Time I'm Present.

yakuzadog14 I almost shouted "that was live?!?!?" when I heard the crowd applause at the end of Daves. I can't overstate how precise these guys are despite having no composed material. Everything is performed flawlessly yet the music is far from sterile or unimaginative. The band will often explore a groove, but the contours of that groove will changes as the band makes their way through it. Records don't often leave me struggling to come up with any analogues the way this one has. AOTY contender. Favorite track: Daves.

vinny-ill The best thing I’ve heard in 2025, hands down. Ben LaMar Gay somehow keeps being varied, cohesive, intriguing, inspiring, all at once. A true one-of-a-kind genius who plays voice, horns, keys and percussion like they’re all extensions of the same heartbeat. And that voice… beautiful, controlled, alive. I can’t even explain...just listen.

Ex-Friendly Unlike any other artist out there, Ben is a true one-off, weaving threads from NOLA, gospel, leftfield jazz, improvisational tension and the deep African-American avant-garde history of Chicago. Brilliant. So glad to have seen him live twice and to be able to tell him how great I think he is. Favorite track: I am (bells).

lilchezy Beautifully recorded, soulful and moving. The track Different Rooms is the standout and I am hearing a little Laurie Anderson vibe (a good thing).

Bon Viveur Have not stopped playing this album since it dropped, beautiful, sublime compositions straddling the intersection of jazz, electronica and ambient. Favorite track: Mean Solar Time.
