Prophet Lucifer So refreshing Thrash I hadn't listened in years. Waiting for the next chapter! Favorite track: Kai Tangata.
    dafydd_brown thumbnail
dafydd_brown The tracks are bangers but knowing the history and politics of what the band are writing about makes it all the more meaningful. Favorite track: Kai Tangata.

    rupert1971 thumbnail
rupert1971 Very Steve Reich with more uptempo instrumentation (love the double bass). Beautifully hypnotic but perfectly urgent so quite DnB in feel. Not a duff moment / second. Favorite track: Dysnomia.
    valrus thumbnail
valrus I guess this fits broadly into the "minimalism" category but it's not quite like anything else I've heard. Hypnotic.

Seems crazy to pick a single favorite track from what feels like a single continuous piece, but the "drop" at 3:45 of Ijiraq is my favorite single moment on here. Favorite track: Ijiraq.
    polinos thumbnail
polinos Mesmerizing minimalist music in a cathegory all its own. From seemingly simple building blocks, Dawn of Midi constructs intricate tapestries of sound, that grips the listener and does not let go before the music is over.

SilkyGrimknot Good band, I had to buy both albums after I heard one.
    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 Found the newer album first but decided to give this one a try as well based on user recommendations and oh boy I’m happy I did. Really EPIC !! Great melodies and a great voice ! Greek mythology or art of war, symphonic marches onto magical places of our imagination… what a trip!! Loved it Favorite track: The Hunter.
    caffeinatedmetalhead thumbnail
caffeinatedmetalhead I'd first given The Mad King a listen and had to download this album shortly afterward. Mildly surprised to see Yannis Papadopoulos of Beast in Black attached to the project, but it's an absolute banger with some clear Iron Maiden influences in the opening track. Overall a fantastic listen and a must have for anyone looking to add to their NWOTHM collection. Favorite track: The Path Of The Warrior.

    Just A Thought thumbnail
Just A Thought This beautifully produced album is founded in tradition and highlights Nini's ability to re-energize humble traditional instruments and produce an exciting modern sound. The music is moving and captivating and will find favour with a huge audience. 'The Voyage Home' brings the erhu into the mix and is one of the loveliest tunes I've ever heard 🙏This is a rare musical talent 😊 Favorite track: The Voyage Home.

Brian S MusicFan its so beautiful and epic! Favorite track: Mazu.
    tpnvintrlik thumbnail
tpnvintrlik It's really hard picking just one song. I like the whole album, but I choose Longma because it's the piece I heard first from Nini. Favorite track: Longma.

    mickbass thumbnail
mickbass Nine Treasures have yet to release a bad album but this recording is on another level. The song writing, the arrangements, every aspect of this album is a level above anything they've released previously. Nice and heavy without ever going over the top. A very mature sounding album. In my opinion, with this release, Nine Treasures take their place among the very best folk metal bands on the planet. Easily their best album yet. This is something of a masterpiece. Album of the year so far.
    americanscotsman thumbnail
americanscotsman I was introduced to Mongolian music by The HU, when they toured Indiana. This music led me to the Nine Treasures band. Now, I enjoy Mongolian culture and music both ancient and modern. Favorite track: Real Dream.
