  1. Keepers of the Fungal Order

Dave Aftandilian Love the combination of dungeon synth and creepy dark ambient. Imagine the world from a mushroom’s point of view. Mycelial tendrils quest blindly through the thick loam, transforming filthy decay into golden soil. During the reproductive time, we lure the unwary with our tasty fruiting bodies, filled with wide-spreading spores. And sometimes we dust in a little of our inner essence, spiritual psychedelics that will take you on a wondrous journey—or kill you. All the same to us!

WereGnome Nick while i maybe not a fan of mushrooms, I am of Hideous Gomphidius. well played. a brilliant album that crafts a sound of its own, foraging a path beyond with the skill full playing from start to finish.

Her Menacing Pet Oh come on now, this opening track is insanely too good--it perfectly sets the tone for the remainder of the album. Waves of quiet desolation, anxiety, and anguish are palpable. Favorite track: Underground Cult.

casual sandworm This music makes me feel uneasy in a good way. It reminds me of the things that used to scare me when I was a kid. The feeling of dread from being alone in a dark house, or from looking out the window at the empty night, expecting someone to jump out from the trees all comes back to me. Like an inverted nostalgia.

Guillaume P. Trépanier From engaging melodies to captivating drones, this split is a surprising and astounding release from two excellent artists. Highly recommended! Favorite track: Gray Friar - Solatium in Cogitationibus.
    Sylfvr thumbnail
Sylfvr A masterful effort from two artists that you'd expect to have nothing in common at first glance. You'd be wrong. "Confessions" draws elements from both artists' incredibly varied repertoire to forge what I can only describe as the symbiotic and yet profoundly personal interpretation of a theme as powerful as the act of confession.

    Dave Aftandilian thumbnail
Dave Aftandilian Fascinating synth sounds against a scratchy backdrop, like listening to an old LP recording of the footsteps of ghosts in a haunted house. I also get a deep feeling of antiquity; moss-draped outer walls crumbling, and thick cobwebs and dust layering every interior surface. Then the moon rises, pale and enchanting, limning the old castle with precious silver.
