Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
The topic of this concept album is a quite interesting one, delving creatively into visions of several alternative parallel universes of mankind, all of them not really appealing, or even dystopian. What's left in the end is to pray for help from a higher power - although it is left unclear if it's willing to show us a way out... The songs on this album, most of the time entangled in a pondering mood, exhibit a haunting melancholy, reflecting a deep longing for salvation. Since I'm not a native speaker of the English language, I don't care that much for the obvious French accent throughout the vocals. However, more distracting to me is the wrong emphasis on the syllables of many words. But that's just a minor drawback. Anyway, it's a truly impressive album with a vital message!
