headbangerd17 This album didn't click with me at first. i guess it was because my brain was distracted because upon the second listen I realized that this is amazing and the type of thing that keeps me listening to metal. The soundscape, the atmosphere, these guys really don't miss. Thank you metalstorm for introducing me to one of the best bands of the 2020s. Can't single out a favorite song. Whole album is amazing.
    thekurtaction thumbnail
thekurtaction This album represents the vision of Opeth executed at a level of mastery Opeth never achieved. Despite all the hype, this is still an underrated release in my opinion. It's really that good! Favorite track: Frost Flower.
    voodoomonkey616 thumbnail

Low_Tuned_Death Please tell me how this band won’t be huge. Favorite track: Breathe - Transcend (Into the Glowing Streams of Forever).
    Dumb mmmn thumbnail
Dumb mmmn elves are portrayed as thin, nimble creatures who seem quick and agile - you wouldn't normally see one barreling through the forest primarily using his/her fists as weapons; why is that? what would an elvish aberration look like?
    klBlk thumbnail
klBlk Captivating is the first word I think of in regards to this. It's simply interesting to listen to. The riffs are tasty; the true testament to this masterpiece is the god tier level of arranging. It's an insanely good, organic, fun, and thoughtfully put together album. 5/5 fuck yeas

sashavonkarl74 When I heard the opener I had a big WTF moment, but then again, when I was a teen I was also into techno and electronica, so... :) yeah, well... While this is not my favourite album of ...And Oceans, it does have a few tracks that got me to obsessive repeat level. "Towards the Absence of Light" and "Förnyelse i Tre Akter" are my favourites. Favorite track: Förnyelse i Tre Akter.
    Padre Adamo thumbnail
Padre Adamo This album is incredible. I enjoyed the industrial era of A.M.G.OD. and Cypher. great albums. This album blends their entire discography perfectly. It is a reformation to their style and everything they have tried to do with absolutely pristine balance.

The second track even has pagan black metal vibes. The whole album gives me chills. it doesn't happen often. Amazing work fellas. Favorite track: Förnyelse i Tre Akter.

Shayne Dey Every now and again Bandcamp kick the rock I’ve been living under and a new band (to my ears) is brought to my attention. I listened to a snippet of the first track and promptly bought the entire catalog.
This is obscenely brilliant black metal.

Thank you Bandcamp.🤘🏻 Favorite track: The End of the Known Civilization.
    Chimplord thumbnail
Chimplord This is f'n great. It might be better than the first album. There are tons of tasty riffs and melodies.
Having Satan do the clean vocals is a nice touch. Favorite track: 3am.
    Abyssius Murkraken thumbnail
Abyssius Murkraken God damn! This album kicks so much ass!

Probably their best and most passionately produced album yet.

This is some masterclass black metal my friends, don't pass this album up!

Everything from the choirs all the way down to the drums, this album evokes so much atmosphere.

    Highly recommended!

(Appreciate the info Sasha! You are a scholar and a gentleman🤘 )

Sightless_Wisdom Be prepared to either die or go to jail because you will piss off your neighbors so much with how loud and powerful this music is that you will either fight to the death or kill your opponent and rot for the remainder of your days in prison. So basically the music will achieve its goal of laying waste to everyone and everything that hears it. Favorite track: Invoke War (feat. Machine Head).
    justintylerhughes thumbnail
justintylerhughes Savage heavy grooves Favorite track: Absolute Zero.
    positronicping thumbnail
positronicping Frozen Soul move ever closer to the Platonic ideal of death metal on this album. It's all timeless stuff, teeming with infectious riffs and pulverising grooves, as well as some appropriately icy atmospherics here and there. It might be meat and potatoes, but it's cooked by Michelin star chefs. Favorite track: Ethereal Dreams.

    David Fischer thumbnail
David Fischer Took my time with reviewing this album as I wanted to delve in deep enough to do it justice – as just like preceding Ellende records, Zerfall is deeply emotional and rent. L.G., as he always does, once again delivered post black metal of the highest order, and nothing on here feels like filler. Of both split tracks Wahrheit and Zeitenwende, each part also works perfectly fine on its own. The guitar sound in particular stands out, adding an almost psychedelic layer to the album. Onto the list! Favorite track: Zerfall.
    H.L. thumbnail
H.L. ELLENDE have once again delivered a very intense post-black metal album with "Zerfall." There's certainly no lack of passion, emotion, or artistic ambition, but it rarely achieves the same level of catchiness as the album's ballad, "Ode ans Licht," my personal favorite. This isn't an album for casual listening; it demands deep immersion. Favorite track: Ode ans Licht.
    cogswick thumbnail
cogswick Dark, emotional, and moody. Everything you could want from post-black and atmospheric black metal. Favorite track: Ode ans Licht.

    Diabolus in Muzaka thumbnail
Diabolus in Muzaka Another winner in a line of them that's now four strong. While immediately appealing, this gets better with repeat listens. Great use of melody, great riffs, production may be the best they've had yet. Worth every penny. Favorite track: The Stockholm Massacre.
