by Pavel Milyakov & Yana Pavlova

    lionvalley thumbnail
lionvalley Evokes the gritty bass-heavy post-punk era of Joy Division and co. to me, but this is slower, bluer, and more ethereal. Spare looping grooves with an accompanying voice all the more haunting for having departed. Rest in peace Yana Pavlova. Favorite track: one-day stand.

ad-i Stripped back, hypnotic, understated, raw and catchy. This album is something special Favorite track: midnight blues.

    Ben Harris thumbnail
Ben Harris I'm overjoyed to hear this album again! Back when I used to collect vinyl, I brought this on a whim at Birmingham's Supersonic festival, being drawn to the abstract yet oddly construable face staring back at me on the cover. Whatever negativity I might of been feeling on any given day could usually be alleviated by giving this criminally underrated record a turn. Please don't overlook this one, ambient fans. Favorite track: Mistakes.

marek c One of the best drone albums of all time. Favorite track: Arbol del Tule.
