    Bloom thumbnail
Bloom Stunningly beautiful, all consuming music. Their previous releases are really solid and worth a listen but you can tell all the pieces came together perfectly for this album. Truly doing justice to the ‘post-everything’ sound, falling somewhere between Respire, Fall of Messiah, Svalbard and early Lantlos.

dusktxwn love the level of chaos, relentlessness, and brutality put into everything on this project. Favorite track: Sit & Mourn.
    palehorse666 thumbnail
palehorse666 as lauded as it should be; this is one of the freshest and most satisfying metal projects to come out in recent memory. Suffocate is a beast with Poppy screaming her little heart out. these guys are currently at their artistic, devastating peak. Favorite track: Suffocate (feat. Poppy).

Dad Beard Doyle Yeah this is it. This is what I needed. Full throttle, kick you in the teeth, neck snappin’, pit worthy fun for the whole family. No frills. No filler. Just the way the Good Lord intended. My compliments to the chef. Favorite track: Tabloid.
    eManRenaissanc thumbnail
eManRenaissanc Holy hell, this is good. Always been curious about Christian hardcore but never invested in it till now. This is incredibly loud, ferocious, honest, and beautiful. Love it. AOTY so far for me.

Marcel Sdunek This song is absolutely amazing. Almost nine minutes long, it's a rollercoaster ride full of dark atmosphere. And the part between minutes 4 and 6 is pure goosebumps. For me, it's true musical art.

FLXFR Masterful melodic death metal with raw and triumphant swagger. Favorite track: THE PROCESSION OF SANDS.
    A. thumbnail
    A. Not sure why the other reviewer thinks BSS is a SFW version of Arghoslent, far from it - these dudes are savage, singing about real issues and events. Read up on their themes and you'll get what I'm saying. Amazing release, keep'em coming boys 🔥 🔥 🔥 Favorite track: FIVE DEMANDS.
    pranaferox thumbnail
pranaferox Fulfills the promise of their demo (which was my favorite release of 2023). Going to be hard to beat this year.

What the other guy said... like if Arghoslent collided with Thin Lizzy, but they sang about cool stuff instead of dumbass gutter racism.
    Wheels of Mercury thumbnail
Wheels of Mercury I've been waiting for something from this Irish-American band for three years, and that something is finally here! Like with the demo from 2023, if you like the riffing style of a certain Running Wild-inspired melodeath band, but you want to stay away from the absolutely uncalled-for racism of that band's lyrics... you've found your alternative!

Urso X Reminds me of Knochengesänge II :) A beautifully rendered acoustic reimagining of highlights from Uada’s impressive discography.

For those (still) concerned about past controversies, the article below provides illumination. (Note: Since 2021, Uada has toured with WITTR and other legit/non-sus acts.)

bmurator Italian Black Metal. This has an extremely interesting mix of guitars & drums & superb vocals. Thanks Atti for taking me here! Oh and the lyrics:

    "Kill for no reason,
Only war against this alien world,
    Hate for all"

Perfect! I need more!!! Highly recommended!!!
    activa44 thumbnail
activa44 Personally, I see their old demo as an ''LP'', so I'm not really into the re-recorded tracks. They were perfect already.

About the new ones, though... wow. They're really cool and sick in all the best ways. The intros and outros here and there are really good too!

    And there's more overall diversity.
Still true to their original style, but drawing more blatantly influence from some of the biggest black metal bands around these days.

    Yeah... nice record!
