Robottosama I loved this album for years and had it on my iPod on since middle school, knowing now that this was on bandcamp, I just had to buy it and add it to my digital collection with the way it was intended. <3 Favorite track: Green Kangaroo.

hiramicus If you want to hear someone completely bare their soul, listen to Everything Changes (both parts). Favorite track: Everything Changes (reprise).
    needsmorerage thumbnail
needsmorerage Absolutely love this album. Most chiptune doesn't hook me in, but this is not the case for 8bit Betty. These songs are well written and gloriously catchy. Favorite track: Keep the Dream Alive, Lil' Red.
    OneQuarterPower thumbnail
OneQuarterPower This album is a shining example of how beautiful simplicity can be in music. It manages to convey an absolute fuckton of nuanced emotion, ranging from wistful longing to naked optimism, all with just a handful of bloops and a robot voice. The prelude hasn't left my head since I first poked the link to this album. A definite must. Favorite track: Everything Changes (prelude).

    bcoleman3 thumbnail
bcoleman3 The Velveteers have taken their brand of alt-pop-rock savagery, polished it to a perfect mirror finish, shattered that mirror into a million jagged shards and assembled them into the most seductively mesmerizing sonic disco ball of sound Favorite track: Bound In Leather.
    mattgraupman thumbnail
mattgraupman The Black Keys used to be all scuzzy (and way more awesome) but their albums, Dan Auerbach's production, and the whole Easy Eye roster have all continued to get slicker and slicker throughout the years. Not so much The Velveteers, though. "A Million Knives" is even grittier than their debut, with thick slabs of guitar and pounding drums. The label could use more of their rebellious attitude. Favorite track: On And On.
    mrbungleswildride thumbnail
mrbungleswildride This song has power, energy and passion ripping through it. The ethereal voice floats over the drums and guitar - dragging you in and down. When as you crawl up, you are changed inside & out for all the right reasons. So, yea. I liked it. Favorite track: All These Little Things.
    marcadelic thumbnail
marcadelic Just saw these guys last night in Seattle. Incredible performance. I didn't know any of their material, and they just blew me away. Great energy, great command of the sound, and the whole room was under their spell.
