Kirk Gauthier Shout-out to Max Weber for putting together this kickass little compilation. If you’re looking to check out songs from some of the most recent Ripple Music releases, this is a great place to start. Every one of these songs is absolutely fantastic and serves as a great primer for anyone new to the label. Favorite track: Smiling Thrush - Boss Keloid.

FDJ (Desert Psychlist) This is a damn good compilation of artists who have at one time, or another graced the excellent Ripple Music label. plaudits go out to the compiler Favorite track: Electric Hive - Forming the Void.

Logen Ninefingers Released to coincide with Ripple Music's 2018 SXSW showcase, a number of these bands have gained real traction in the ensuing months. The legendary swampy heavy rock of Wo Fat needs no introduction and is well represented here. As is the furious hard-rock of Mothership, whose real star is their lead guitarist -- some awesome soloing on display. Elsewhere, The Watchers and Steak show the abundance of talent on the Ripple roster, with this sampler barely scratching the surface. Favorite track: Riffborn.

FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Suplecs delivering the sort of hymns you won't be hearing in church, well not ant church i know of anyway. If you like your stoner/desert rocking and a little old school you need in on this Favorite track: Pentacle Star.

Bucky Admittedly not a Suplecs expert but upon streaming this new effort can say in confidence, this is outstanding heavy music. Not just heavy, this is punky, fuzzy, noisy, doomy and even, dare I say, poppy. Think Fu Manchu flashing its tits at Mardi Gras.

Kirk Gauthier Oh, you thought Ripple Music only had influence in America? Au contraire, mon frere! Ripple is GLOBAL, baby! Last year (2022) was the debut of RippleFest France, and this lovely little sampler is just a taste of all the lovely riffs that were on display that weekend. Enjoy! A Becker Looks like there's gonna be one hell of a party in France this summer! Favorite track: Stonebirds - Stay Clean.
