  1. Alone in a World of Wounds

zionengine This hits me as more relaxed, a little "warmer" than Von Till's previous albums. If his earlier work offered a means to endure the darkness, these songs suggest that we can find peace if we stop clawing blindly for daylight. Favorite track: Calling Down The Darkness.

    Nicholas Kent thumbnail
Nicholas Kent After my initial dozen or so listens (😬), my only real gripe is that the record feels too short... I always want more haha. This is noticeably different in some ways for this band, but I am totally cool with that - they've had a fairly consistent sound for a long time so mixing it up a bit is a good thing, to me. I think the only tracks I haven't been able to fully get into so far are The Air's on Fire & Rising Skyline (never been a huge fan of guest vocalists). The title track is 🤤🤤🤤. Favorite track: A Way Down.
    indegoraven thumbnail
indegoraven Failure has once again delivered an album that is totally Failure but also different than anything they’ve done previously. This album is a nod to the 80s, and an embrace of modern sound. Failure is a rare band. To break up and then return to give us music that just as good (if not better) than their previous releases is something I do not take for granted. When I think about Failure, I don’t think about what they’ve done, but what they can (and hopefully will) do in the future! Favorite track: Solid State.
