Ippocalyptica Let us get the Melechesh and Nile comparisons (which are quite fair and obvious) out of the way immediately, and acknowledge that for whatever reason, Maysaloon is an extremely capable death metal band that seems to be relatively under-appreciated. While I would rank comparable albums such as Annihilation of the Wicked and Sphinx higher than this, there is absolutely no denying that the brutality of war has shaped Maysaloon’s sound into a unique and formidable sonic weapon.
