LittleWhiteMouse Shapera's storytelling was always fine and only improves with time. I have rarely had so many of my opinions about a character suddenly and permanently changed in such a short time as I did at the end of this opera (the last three songs in particular). I've been thinking about this since I finished listening. Emotional, involving, bursting with fantastic worldbuilding. I'm so excited for part 2. Favorite track: A Flame In The Darkness.

LittleWhiteMouse Shapera is so good at crafting enjoyable characters and arresting emotional journeys I almost forget how good he is as a musician. Every instrumental portion of this opera is just so pleasing, atmospheric; I drift away with it. I love Astrid's voice, I love Zasza's melancholy intro, I love Jes' intense section in 'Aftermath', but for me the showstopper is the thoroughly atmospheric 'Churn'. It gave me chills the first time and never gets old on replay. Favorite track: Churn.
