    by Brežnev Fun Club
    supported by
    Christopher Moklebust thumbnail
Christopher Moklebust The Breznev Fun Club seems to have labelled II misantropo felice as Rock in Opposition (RIO), Canterbury Rock, or whatever. But this is Contemporary Classical all the way. And it's incredible! Just because you have an electric guitar and a keyboard that sounds like a rhodes doesn't make you RIO. Favorite track: Il misantropo felice V - Sperduto nella camera isterica.

    gargfowl75 thumbnail
gargfowl75 Good cover album; songs are mostly faithful to the originals. Very solid. Favorite track: Another Satellite.
    Anthony B Cook thumbnail
Anthony B Cook The title says it all; Garden of Earthly Delights is this generation's newest Celebration of XTC.
Any doubts about the sincerity, just go straight to Chris Price's "Ballad..."
From there, Xplore then get back to the original XTC. Favorite track: The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead.
    Carsten Pieper thumbnail
Carsten Pieper A huge compilation of mostly quite successful XTC covers for a very fair price. Comes in shiny 24 bit. Favorite track: My Bird Performs.

John Cratchley It is wonderful news to finally have the Swiss Intakt label catalogue available on BC...these terrific European labels (Intakt,Hat Art,FMP,Clean Feed et al) are really heroic; they have been putting out brilliant music for years and they endure because they really love the music and want to make it available...it is a mission. The Intakt catalogue is full of treasure for the serious listener and I will be revisiting old favourites and new releases for sure...download the pdf catalogue for free and start checking it out!
The combination of Takase, von Schlippenbach and the brilliant music of Eric Dolphy (another Hero) was just too good to ignore!
This music (and the entire catalogue) will stretch you, intrigue you and enrich you,I think.

    Carsten Pieper thumbnail
Carsten Pieper So, this concert by the godfathers of the Berlin school has only been available as a (famous, I guess) bootleg for a long time. This seems to be an at least semi-official release from the archives of Conny Schnitzler (although he wasn't involved in this notorious event directly). Favorite track: Reims - Part 1.
