    zirtonic thumbnail
zirtonic This is a good debut with a clear area for improvement: confidence. When the band is playing together they sound like genre veterans, but the solos come off as tepid and the bits of vocal variety suggest a lack of comfort from the frontman. Thankfully that can all be fixed with experience, and this album is a great foundation to build on! Favorite track: Boiled at Birth.
    nate’s death metal dungeon thumbnail
nate’s death metal dungeon Brutal as shit, heavy as balls, and still manages to be creative and unique. Highly recommended. Favorite track: Boiled at Birth.
    Siddhartha Goswamee thumbnail
Siddhartha Goswamee If you love or is familiar with Real Swedish "Raw" Death Metal, with added Creative BDM Style Vocal Works or familiar with bands like Deicide and Defeated Sanity, then this album will definitely become your "Love At First Sight"; Guaranteed!
Directly at my first playthrough, I was easily able to resonate with the musical compositions of these songs!
Don't change the sound and the music Protrusion! Maintain it in your future releases if you may... because you've nailed it!
    GD71666 thumbnail

    blaxcodexx444 thumbnail
blaxcodexx444 I love the fast pace of beats, and the deep heart felt lyrics. The raw sound brings a unique sound back to Goth music. They also add a personal touch to the record by signing it. I was pleasantly surprised Puppy signed it. Love these guys. I will see them live in Houston! Favorite track: Serenity (Blows The Wind).

    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 I've never been into the band before because the blend of too many styles did not appeal to me, but a friend drew my attention to this opus as he stated "Judd and Co seriously got their shit together on this one..." and I gave this a listen and was immediately convinced. This is solid melo-black with outstanding guitar work! There is a lot of good variety too but within limits so it's definitely a keeper :) Favorite track: The Arduous March.
    StrengthWithin thumbnail
StrengthWithin I like anything Nachtmystium does. Glad to see they are getting their affairs in order.

Dmitry Nevozhay OSDM the way it should be. The best traits of genre are on display. Technical, punchy, catchy and head banging inducing. With almost neoclassical solos and John Tardy vocals
    YomaBarr thumbnail
    YomaBarr Been there, seen that.
Ippocalyptica is right. A band capable of pulling off SUCH A SHOW without their own instruments has my respect forever.
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica I had never heard a single note from Skeletal Remains prior to seeing them live in Gdańsk yesterday, and despite the challenges that they faced (the airline lost their instruments, forcing them to use other ones on short notice, which can mess up a band’s sound), they fucking crushed a great, intense set in front of an appreciative crowd. These gents play excellent OSDM with modern production sensibilities, and they just catapulted up my list of this sub-genre’s elite. Maximum respect! Favorite track: Cathastrophic Retribution.

spectral_74 I should've bought this ages ago, finally it just dragged itself out from the grave of my wishlist. Quality Finnish OSDM with pummelling drums and riffs, oh such sweet riffs. Slapping myself for sleeping on this! Loving death metal again. Always, really, it never dies.
    Landon thumbnail
Landon I really enjoy the atmospheric down tuned guitars on Severed Monolith. The drummer gets the job done and lays down some very well executed blasting. The ethereal track, “Eternity,” and the last untitled instrumental piano track, are welcome palate cleansers. There is nothing too adventurous but the music is predominantly fun to listen to nonetheless. A solid death metal album, one that I consider relaxing. 7/10.
    Black_Death_Doom thumbnail
Black_Death_Doom Finnish Death Metal is king Favorite track: Black Horns.
