mindshambles Blown away from the start. It has a mature feeling to it, and feels like the whole album has been composed carefully to take the listener along on a journey. Straight into my regular rotation, and slotting in to my favorite La Dispute albums at or very near the top
    rahnos thumbnail
rahnos Punchy, raw and sparse, yet a powerful Punky sound to much of the new album. Favorite track: Man with Hands and Ankles Bound.

  1. Broken Homes and Gardens
    by Michael Hurley
    featured track 00:00/00:00
    Fava Fava
    supported by
    newcommute thumbnail
newcommute Hurley’s idiosyncratic, ramshackle country blues of equal parts whimsy and wisdom remained undimmed to the end, another gem in the singular American songbook he leaves behind. Favorite track: Cherry Pie.
    hubcapbrian thumbnail
hubcapbrian I played bass with Michael for a few years in the late 80s so his passing hit me hard. I don’t suggest those new to Snock should start listening here but to those already under his spell it’s a fitting goodbye. It’s nice to know he was writing new songs right up to the end. What’s sad is there won't be any more. At least we have his many recordings to listen to. Favorite track: The Monkey.
