followjohnreed An album as hypnotic as its cover image, and a stunning album from beginning to end. Favorite track: Timtar.
    cookiemonster76 thumbnail
cookiemonster76 evocative, haunting, rocking desert blues. I keep coming back to this album. Favorite track: Adounia tabarat.
    Lute FP thumbnail
Lute FP This album perfectly fuses blues, rock, and north African traditional sounds. The female choir-like and solo singing send this over the top.

I kept thinking this sounded Malian. I’m no expert, but after Amadou y Mariam I got the idea that Malian music has a lot of Western influence, particularly in the vocals. Less nasally and more melodic, to my ear. Turns out this band is from Mali, but emigrated to the Saharan region.

This has reinvigorated my interest in African desert blues music

Favorite track: Grace.
    Matthew Skipworth thumbnail
Matthew Skipworth Where to start with Epicloud? Wow. It's very heavy at times- bombastic, but it's also quite a melodic album too. The lyrics are generally very positive (which I appreciate a lot) and the production and musicianship are both impeccable. Devy nails it again! It has catchiness, but also a lot of depth and complexity too. This is a seriously great album. Favorite track: True North.
    Leterren thumbnail
Leterren Wall of sound metal meets epic church choir. Highly uplifting! Favorite track: Kingdom.

    Silver Spider thumbnail
Silver Spider I don't know if it is the bandcamp app, but this remaster lacks the smooth song transitions of the cd version. It can get jarring, especially when "Old Scratch" bleeds into "Girlfixer". Other than that, this album still holds up all these years later. Other than the volume being brought up, I don't hear a big difference versus the original version, but still worth the purchase for the die hard Distillers fan. Not a bad track on this album. Favorite track: Girlfixer.

Nate I love every track. Guitar tones are incredible. Drummer goes hard. Dorthia's vocals and lyrics are what make it for me. I'm obsessed with every track, but Evergreen made me cry so it wins. Love it. Favorite track: Evergreen.

gardenofstone not enough love for Feral Bones on here, my favorite song of this album. so fucking eerie and haunting while also so goddamn heavy and dense. Favorite track: Feral Bones.
    Nik Havert thumbnail
Nik Havert It's so heavy and creepy that it might turn your house into a haunted attraction.
