    evan thumbnail
evan equal parts hard and vulnerable, absolutely one of the defining records for these guys. they're somehow putting out amazing records more than 30 years after the first one Favorite track: Make Me Forget You.

John Chaos Alexander Vocals are to low on the Entombed cover version even though the music is f'in amaz-balls! Favorite track: No Light Escapes.

jim_fuego Didn't even know Converge did a cover of Wolverine Blues until I saw them doing it at Roadburn - great song, excellently done Favorite track: Wolverine Blues (Entombed cover).

deadfriday69 This album rips. After reading Jack Owen's comment that the first half of the album is a speedier and more aggressive death metal style while the second half is more groove-laden, I understood why the first half is so different from the second. The production is immaculate, and I can't get enough of the drum sound; Marco is a beast, love his drum fills. I hope they stick with this sound! Favorite track: Destroyed Remains.
    Erik L Scarlet thumbnail
Erik L Scarlet Long live Six Feet Under. This album is sick all the way through. I am glad I bought this record \m/ Favorite track: Mister Blood and Guts.
    fyeahmetal thumbnail
fyeahmetal Holy hell, this is great. The post-Torment lineup has only gotten stronger over time, yielding this record that evokes the classic early records. No eees, no bs classic rock covers, just skillful, catchy songwriting with memorable leads and choruses (who knew "Mutilated Corpse in the Woods" could be so fun to song along to), and a beautifully organic production where the drums sound like drums. No over-compressed, slick Nuclear Blast-type sound here! This is an AOTY contender. Favorite track: Mind Hell.
    cmdfvfan thumbnail
cmdfvfan This was a great surprise. Probably the best SFU released in about a decade. A dry open mix, tons of oldschool groove and speed mixed together to make a damn fine listen. Chris's vox are better than they've been for a long time and the huge, open riffy sections give me Haunted and Warpath vibes and Obituary. Some good Florida death metal. i'm here for it! Favorite track: Wrath and Terror Takes Command.

swordpvnk This is Archspire's best offering to date. Which is high praise considering Bleed the Future was a masterpiece. These guys don't take themselves too seriously and they have every reason too considering the sheer talent exuding from every single one of them. This i think is their best quality as a band. Inhuman musical ability, paired with extremely down to earth human personalities. Never stop making music you crazy bastards.
    minusoneman2 thumbnail
minusoneman2 Archspire is always hell of fun! Especially with this new effort. Imagine highly melodic Blasting Symphonic (death) metal accompanied by a zombified ghost of the mighty scatman John in a really angry and pissed mood. Favorite track: Anomalous Descent.
    3fireterrell thumbnail
3fireterrell Everything about this album is perfect. From the instrumentals to the vocals, all the songs pack a punch!!! Favorite track: Limb of Leviticus.

Bardo Morales Been hearing this very talented young man's music since the release of White Light. I must say I still think that one is a damn unforgiving masterpice, and it's probably gonna stay untouched forever. Although this album is his finest relase since, IMO, and I really like it.
    --N-- thumbnail
--N-- Love the Death Note reference in “NAME IN BLOOD”. Favorite track: ETERNAL REST [ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴄᴀsʜғᴏʀɢᴏʟᴅ].
    Stas1s thumbnail
Stas1s I like to listen to wave / witch and variants as a change of pace from the stuff I play usually. I actually have a couple of favourites; eternal rest, shadow, into the dark, eclipse and awakening. Into the dark indeed (with some sick beats that is) ! Favorite track: SHADOW [ᴡɪᴛʜ ɢᴏᴏ ᴍᴜɴᴅᴀʏ].
