  1. Retrospective (2016-2021)
    by Warmth
    supported by
    Bethelina thumbnail
Bethelina This retrospective collection is like a calm sea, with each track coming like a fresh gentle wave, unique, and deeply pleasant. Warmth have the ability to quietly, surely, seduce us into a peaceful state of being. When I listen it’s hard not adore their beautiful, subtle, and charming melodies. This collection is a gem and one to savour for years to come. It maybe looking back, yet this album reveals that Warmth’s music is timeless! Favorite track: Odessa.

Brett Vanderhoof Just randomly saw a KEXP clip like some other people and was kinda pissed I hadn't heard this band sooner. F@cking RIPS! I love it, haven't been this pumped on finding new music in a while. favorite tracks are all of them. Bad ass
    MKUltra thumbnail
MKUltra Random KEXP live set on my youtube shows up...and here I am.

Lies somewhere between the "standards" but somehow makes it sound fresh with a light wander into the psych realm.
    chewbacha74 thumbnail
chewbacha74 I just saw them perform in Kansas City 4/23/26. outstanding show. fantastic performance. The lady's bass sound is just crushing, absolutely thunderous sound in a small venue. This band scratches my 30 year old Kyuss itch better than any other. Favorite track: Red Thundra.

    Sasket Woodsman thumbnail
Sasket Woodsman Go see Wand live if you can. One of the greatest live experiences I've ever witnessed! 3/27/2025 will forever be lodged in my head. If you think the songs on this album and previous albums are already a mindblowing psychedelic trip, you have no idea... Favorite track: Smile.
    Graham thumbnail
Graham oh that guitar just gets me Favorite track: High Time.
    Oscar Rosales thumbnail
Oscar Rosales Wand's evolution is one of the most interesting. You can feel the band's maturity as musicians and the evolution that comes with lineup changes feels natural. A great one to sit back at home to relax and enjoy, with enough space for the intensity that has always come with this band. Favorite track: High Time.

neu-mann The spirit of Manuel Göttsching shines bright in this collection of blissful, contemplative interstellar guitar meditations, inspired by and arguably even surpassing a Krautrock pioneer at his ambient mid-70s zenith. Favorite track: Omayyad.

Manuel A classic. The album who introduced me to Warmth's music, the Archives/Faint labels and a plethora of other musicians. A must have for any ambient/drone afcionado. Favorite track: Parallel.
    mk730 thumbnail
mk730 so all versions/formats of this album are immersive and incredible. there is much material out there floating somewhere within a field of spatial drone/tape filtered ambient tone, yet this record just stands on top. it is grounding.
    Resentment thumbnail
Resentment Reminds me of the sun coming over the hills Beautiful track Favorite track: Reflector.

    Levrikon thumbnail
Levrikon My favorite albums of 2013, #5
Gorgeous electronic music without a single concession to 'typical' electronic music; Excavation is laden with samples of cellos, thick and viscous, almost soundtrack-quality spookiness. The Haxan Cloak is a tremendous producer, and it's great to see him getting more high-profile work these days.
    Floating head thumbnail
Floating head Feels like escape and duality. Took me longer to realise the cover wasn't a noose. Favorite track: The Drop.

    featured track 00:00/00:00
    Meol Meol
    supported by
    precenphix thumbnail
precenphix THE definitive Seefeel recording when they signed to Warp and came into their own, finding comfort residing in the blackness as much as they found a home in the wall-of-guitar effected shoegaze from their earlier releases. By far my favorite of their discography, which is saying a lot considering how much play all their music gets in my home.

Insightful liner notes top it all off with a new, third platter of wax featuring unreleased rarities and a few only found on compilations. Favorite track: Extract.
