    Fewer Notes thumbnail
Fewer Notes Contemplative minimalism ambient mixed with progressive electronic music made solely with a Buchla Music Easel and two effects pedals.
    Martin Doudoroff thumbnail
Martin Doudoroff One of my top 5 from 2015, and definitely an all-time favorite electronic album for me. Repetitive, yes, but I love it. Favorite track: Everything Is Going To Be.

funkyjeff77 I was very much in the clicks & cuts movement, buying everything from Mille Plateaux, Force Inc and Akufen/Horror inc as well as Perlon. I bought this CD in 2005 and it stayed a personal favorite of mine. Akufen needs no introduction but this album is different from the rest of his discography. I would describe it as an organic ambient dub experience. Definately more experimental in terms of rhythms. It's an abstract journey that you feel compelled to revisit often.Alors..Chapeau mon ami ! Favorite track: 1er jour.

Headphone Commute Nakamura's kaleidoscopic music interleaves intercontinental compositional systems of tonal, percussive, and atmospheric treatments, rising and falling into peripheral aural fields, gathering into focus and then dissolving again...

    ghosttropics thumbnail
ghosttropics A beautiful follow up to last years incredible Crewe Away EP, at once building on that sound while obscuring its components into something more opaque and mysterious.

Where most dub-techno tends to rely on heavy low ends and a more substantial pulse, "i'll take you home again k" feels wispy and sparse, something that could slip right through your fingers if you grasp it too tightly.

baldingbadger Moody and magnificent. Headphones on, volume up, lights down. Bliss.

    by Jeff Parker ETA IVtet

    maoltod thumbnail
maoltod This group, also on "The Way Out of Easy," can sustain and deftly shift grooves in an intoxicating way. I wish these performances were twice as long, because they get better and better as the group stretches them out.

Brilliant music from a brilliant ensemble.

Christopher Ellis Beautiful imaginary visual lushness there is a a marrying of emotion here when the music grasps our attention and captures our emotions.🙏
    Donovan Murphy thumbnail
Donovan Murphy Only Midori Hirano could marry the shimmering orbital mechanics of her opening track to a fluttering, Satie-esque closer. OTONOMA takes flight in all directions. Favorite track: Warped In Red.
    mikaellind thumbnail
mikaellind Lovely album. The synths twist, bend, and turn, and the piano avoids all the clichés of the genre. A favourite of 2026 so far. Favorite track: Illuminance.
