Urso X Deliberate, seething, and heavy as a neutron star, this gravity well of a record perfectly mirrors my inner landscape atm. All-consuming!!

Darknight Totally blown away by how good The Pilgrimage is. There's so many great things going on, twisting noise rock riffs, sludgy killer sounds and freaking hardcore screams just absolutely nail it! First track had me hooked, lined and sinkered, I just imagined going mental in the moshpit🤘 Favorite track: Act I:David Glimpses Bathsheba.

Sam The best duos are able to make the most noise with minimal instruments and Mares of Thrace has riffs for days. Favorite track: Mortal Quarry.

Luke The mares of Thrace were a group of untamable man-eating horses. You go mad if you eat human flesh, so I'm told, and they were considered crazy, but maybe they just didn't like men trying to tame them? This album concerns vocalist Thérèse Lanz' feeling of living in a state of exile which, like exoduses and odysseys, were a thing that seemed to happen a lot back then and you don't hear so much about anymore. But perhaps those exodusing (most common these days) can't yet tell their own stories. Favorite track: Offerings Of Hand And Tongue.

Der Brecher I love it, when bands are able to take an iconic song, put it into a totally different setting and make it work. All while letting the original shine through in just enough spaces to keep it recognizable. Now guess what my favourite song on here is. Favorite track: Straight Up.
