wafflehousejukebox Whar does it mean when you think a work of art is about your life?

A philosophy professor of mine posed this question in university donkey's years ago without answering it. I have come to understand it means God speaks to us through art. Favorite track: Trying To Save You.

    Aurora Invicta thumbnail
Aurora Invicta I found Mesh in a Borders store back in the 90s. Somehow, The Truth Doesn’t Matter might be their best work yet.

There’s a real confidence here. The sound is clean and focused, letting the lyrics hit with weight.

Standouts for me are “This World,” “Bury Me Again,” “Hey Stranger,” and “Exile”—a consistently thoughtful set that replaces my previous favorites, “Friends Like These” and “Not Prepared.”

Nothing feels overdone. It just feels right.

A heartfelt thank you. Favorite track: This World.

Dual Core This EP is actually good, despite Mikal's best efforts. In all seriousness, I really enjoyed writing and recording my verses, hearing the demo mixes, and still listening to the finished product. Thanks for including me! Favorite track: See You Later (featuring Tribe One).

The Tonearm "Then it struck me that it [the creation process] is this kind of full-scale, beautiful feedback system where a piece of music will inspire and motivate me to explore and do the same. Then maybe, in some small capacity, my work can have that effect on someone, enhance or enrich their life in some way. And that, in and of itself, is important."

zevgoldberg I'm recommending this album to anyone who has to live with kids. It's better than it has any right to be. It's clever and musical and funky. It gets better with each listen. There is no limit to the number of times your kids will want to hear this album. Favorite track: What Makes the Breakfast?.
    martindoolittle thumbnail
martindoolittle I wish that I had found this album when my kids were smaller, but they still love it and so do I. These songs are pure, distilled joy.

coy I've always loved this album and as soon as I found out it was being released on vinyl I just had to buy it. This is a beautiful LP about freedom and liberation, the different forms it can take, and the impacts it can have. It's message is even more important today. Thank you JBE for creating beautiful and important music. Favorite track: sleepwalker.
