  2. No Ritmo da Terra
    by Antropoceno
    supported by
    Just Dead Stuff thumbnail
Just Dead Stuff Like an art rock Kaatayra, beautiful and lush. Favorite track: Xe Anama (Coração no Ritmo da Terra).
    boinky37 thumbnail
boinky37 I love what’s going on here. The compositions are pleasantly dense and textured and this also has served as an introduction to Ailton Krenak’s writings. The cover art also feels very cathartic Favorite track: Ayaba Oxum.
    j_ooparts thumbnail
j_ooparts This album is sublime. I can't stop listening to it. The propulsive rhythms guide you through the layered hypnotic maximalism. Thank you for making this. Favorite track: Oyá Dewo.

  3. 𝘒𝘐𝘓𝘛𝘌𝘙
    by Tinned Meats
    supported by
    Nuclear Girl thumbnail
Nuclear Girl Been on a massive XTC kick recently (and was lucky enough to see Cardiacs live earlier this month too!) so this band popping up on my feed was perfect timing. Keep being weird! Favorite track: Mir.
    Brent Davis thumbnail
Brent Davis Odd in a way I don't usually care for; by the time I reach track 12, I find myself rethinking my life choices - do I even know who I am & what I like?

The upshot being: Tinned Meats must've unleashed something pretty darned interesting upon the world...

    ✌️🇿🇦 Favorite track: Off Kilter.
    Monkton Wylde thumbnail
Monkton Wylde The very idea of tinned meat fills me with disgust, but I'm getting hints of The Fall, Mothers, Cardiacs, The Beatles, Rush and god knows what else. But it's very much its own thing, the NOW THING? I don't know (I'm 52 ffs) but I'm gonna get a spoon and tuck in cos it's tasty Favorite track: Chorea.
    Ilya S thumbnail
Ilya S Must be something in the water in Sheffield, since it produced both those guys, Clock DVA and Cabaret Voltaire. Cardiacs weren't from Sheffield, but their influence is palpable as well.

  4. Plans
    by Death Cab for Cutie
    supported by
    threedoorcinemaclub thumbnail
threedoorcinemaclub I've been a fan of this album ever since I heard Soul Meets Body and the short version of I Will Follow You Into The Dark on the radio on the bus to elementary school. It has been a long time since then, but I still keep coming back to listening to the entire album all the way through. Plans is more than just the songs that made it to the radio.
    Jonathan Pryor thumbnail
Jonathan Pryor If you listen to these albums chronologically the gradual transition becomes clear. Ignore the dumping on particular tracks on any offering. Every album (by ANYONE) has the occasional "floater" that won't appeal. Try consistently writing music to appeal to EVERYONE and still be artistic. One frustration for me is picking "favorite track" when ones mood is effected differently on any given day. How do you pick a single track from an album like this? Favorite track: Stable Song.
    Heather Graves thumbnail
Heather Graves Plans is an shift towards a safer sound, but don't let that fool you a single bit; it manages to hit as hard as every other album thus far

    Salvatore Munzone thumbnail
Salvatore Munzone I love how the whole thing was sort of ambiguous about the actual drukq.. until the horse sample at the end of the album telling you ''yeah it was about that all along!'' had me laughing!! ...also last opn album (most probably) couldn't not have it on vinyl! Favorite track: For Residue.
    richard winchell thumbnail
richard winchell A tour de force of exploration and layering sound on sound. Favorite track: Lifeworld.

azazellrox Finally a group that lives up to my expectations! I have a Spotify account and nothing really appealed to me, I came on Bandcamp, I discovered this album and I just bought it! Thank you guys, you’re tearing everything up ! Favorite track: Unquiet Graves.
    meadowkamagica thumbnail
meadowkamagica There are catchy songs and then there are songs that get stuck in your head when you wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Spell haunts you and makes you smile during those moments of twilight delirium.

All I want are killer riffs, great hooks and danceable rhythms delivered with emotional sincerity. Refining their advanced songwriting craft through each release in an incredibly consistent discography, Spell have conjured their finest foray into those characteristics. A fav <3 Favorite track: Exquisite Corpse.

Adam Andrade Someone call the CDC this shit is highly infectious. I literally can't stop movin' and groovin' to this. But I'm immune to being embarrassed so you'll see me dancing in public. Favorite track: Talon.
