Nuclear Girl It may be an untitled demo, but clearly a huge amount of effort has gone into crafting this powerful, measured atmoblack. Favorite track: Sibylline Shores.
    honeycombguy thumbnail
honeycombguy Amazing black metal demo, and I can't wait to hear more from this project! The melodies shine through the raw production, and "Halcyon" is a great pallette cleanser. Favorite track: Heart of the Mountain.

JT EXTREME Another solid as hell release from purveyors Wergild. They are serving 'em up style in 2026. No cargoskeleton please, just wet wet mud, Bae. Favorite track: Cargoskeleton/Necrothopter.
    Shoigunjinsho thumbnail
Shoigunjinsho Thematically, Lander is my favorite of the Wergild offerings. Looks do in fact count for shit in the jungle. Favorite track: Cargoskeleton/Necrothopter.
    dismal-entity thumbnail
dismal-entity Wergild is just superb. Every single band under this label are absolutely tearing up the playing field. Lander is no joke, straight to the point and serving it up on a silver platter. Underground Black Metal on a whole other level. 🤘 Favorite track: Cargoskeleton/Necrothopter.

    positronicping thumbnail
positronicping A dose of flawless cascadian black Metal that moves seamlessly between low and high Gear, with some very Solid doom inflections. Lander really have the gift of the silver tongue on this one. Favorite track: Militia Obscura.
    ForsakenHeavens thumbnail
ForsakenHeavens Tremendous Cascadian atmoblack with riffy Doom interludes, a generous sprinkling of pinch harmonics, and a garnish of Metal Gear Solid's dulcid PS1 tones. IYFW: Weakling, Wolves in the Throne Room. Favorite track: Militia Obscura.

  5. À Double Tranchant
    by Conifère
    supported by
    Tee^▿^ thumbnail
Tee^▿^ Fantastic! The clean singing in the first track is very enjoyable, I also love the guitar work which sounds a lot like Dissection, only there's more melody than ever. The second track from Vespéral, a band that have been on my radar for a while, I also really enjoyed. The dungeon synth adds a sort of ethereality to the song, but it's still considerably heavier than the track by Confière. Overall great split that is distinctively Québec BM, not to be overlooked!
    gibsondoomguy thumbnail
gibsondoomguy Conifére continues to write incredible black metal. I can't wait for the next album, this is awesome! Favorite track: Faits d'Armes en Chants.
    jehanne de tenebres thumbnail
jehanne de tenebres This release made my day better. Good energy and talented musicianship at work! Favorite track: Faits d'Armes en Chants.
