Austin This band makes me feel glad to be alive. Favorite track: Arclights.
    Keebler Dilf thumbnail
Keebler Dilf I bought Drowned in a Sea of Sound the day it was released, and it is one of my dearest possessions. I followed their blogspot and hung dearly onto any word, for all 10 years, afraid they'd never release another album. But here they are, as though they'd never left. The Daysleepers have the sonic beauty of Slowdive, the haze of Bloody Valentine, and the vocals of Airiel and Cocteau Twins, yet I prefer them over all the above. This album was well worth the wait. Favorite track: The Memorymaker.

ernstlat one of the best albums by Steve Roach - several songs from this album were included in the soundtrack of the trendsetting MMOFPS "Neocron", a cyberpunk MMO in the style of Deus Ex. This particular song - "Fall of the Moai" - was used as its main theme. Favorite track: Fall of the Moai.
    Larry Ullrick thumbnail
Larry Ullrick This is one of Steve's better CDs to me. because it was hard to pick a favorite among more than the usual average number of tracks. Favorite track: The Majestic Void.

jpowell736 The New Pornographers continue their string of excellent albums. This is understandably a little darker than anything they've put out before but still the ear candy we expect from this band with the vocal harmonies and memorable hooks. Favorite track: The Former Site Of.
    Luxuria Atenash (+ Mementos!) thumbnail
Luxuria Atenash (+ Mementos!) an understandably dark, grief-filled album. i think we all feel a little lost right now. all the good ones, at least- we feel lost while waiting for something, waiting to be saved, maybe while saving others as we wait for our own rescues. i know i feel lost. thank you to TNP for another amazing one, though. it came right when i needed something that could help me cope since i can't express my own grief. Favorite track: Wish You Could See Me I'm Killing It.

    C. K. Love you Mirah. What a gift to have met when we were young and free of responsibilities and to follow along as your songs documented the phases of life over time. A rich and layered album, delicate and robust, sun and rain.
