    by Submotion Orchestra

    piecewise thumbnail
piecewise An oddity. Has its weak points but the strengths outweigh the failures. Balances some pretty heavy electronic distortion with more traditional lounge style singing and music. Favorite track: In Gold.
    Nate thumbnail
Nate This is my favorite album by Submotion Orchestra, they dived face first into house/edm and I love it. Favorite track: Jaffa ft. Still.
    Simon Burkhardt thumbnail
Simon Burkhardt A masterpiece of an album. I just cannot get the thought out of my head that "Red Dress" should become the next James Bond soundtrack. Favorite track: Red Dress.

Scott Whittaker My favourite Submotion Orchestra album by far. Love the jazz and electronica fusion sound.
    Howard N Hughes thumbnail
Howard N Hughes Amazing album, love the sound the group generates. Can't wait to see them live at Gorilla in Manchester later this year....looking forward to an epic live show in a fabulous venue under the railway arches of Oxford Road station, Manchester....
    Scott Hillis thumbnail
Scott Hillis Beautiful in every way! Amazing album. Favorite track: Time Will Wait.
    Dr. Beaf thumbnail
Dr. Beaf I suspect if you like Cinematic Orchestra, Mandalay, Morcheeba, Miles Davis, Elsiane, Kruder Dorfmeister, Gaelle, EBTG, Hiatus, Crazy Penis, Bliss, OceanLab... this would be a logical and very suitable purchase. A great sibling record to their other brilliant album Finest Hour.

  3. Five Points
    by Submotion Orchestra

    Hironori Doi thumbnail
Hironori Doi A true masterpiece, encompassing everything that has greatly influenced my life: the touch of Steve Reich, the feel of ’70s R&B, reggae, hip-hop, and the piano touch reminiscent of Lyle Mays. Yet, it shines with remarkable originality thanks to its sophisticated composition and silky sound arrangement. Favorite track: End Point.
Steve Ball - That Jazz Explorium Guy thumbnail
Steve Ball - That Jazz Explorium Guy ...I love all SMO's albums, for me they have the right depth of ambiance, great grooves, bottomless bass, two pristine voices in Ruby and the frugal horn - yes I said frugal...and a percussionaire who i would love to jam with because i'm a percussionaire too - this is the band i wish i could play with...keep doin whay you are doin guys - it's perfection x Favorite track: Start Point.

meech4229 I love the fact that they can effortlessly mix musical styles. Every time I listen to this I get transported to another dimension. Love it! Additionally very sensual. I’m loving doing my artwork to this.
    dj_woolley thumbnail
dj_woolley One of my absolute favourite albums of all time. It’s one of those very rare albums where If any of it’s songs come on a shuffle playlist…I never ever skip over them. Super chuffed to have the double vinyl now too 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Finest hour and perfection are my two personal favourites Favorite track: Finest Hour.

    by James Shinra

    Ewy thumbnail
Ewy Always on point. This producer knows just how to tweak the nerve. Unshaken and highly confident. It's a pleasure to hear him work.
    pawelisecki thumbnail
pawelisecki for me this record is pure fire 💣 Thanks
    Drexcited thumbnail
Drexcited Another PURE quality four tracker by Shinra.

Filled to the brim with emotion, which isn't the only reason why Shinra quickly became one of my absolute favorite artists, if not my favorite, quite a few releases ago. And that's saying something.

Definitely one on the rather short list of artists where I'll always buy instantly without listening first.

As usual, favorite doesn't mean much, I deeply enjoy the whole platter. And I hope for many more to come. Favorite track: DAYDREAMM.
    lewroll thumbnail
lewroll Dripping with emotion. Undeniably at the top of the electro game. If you enjoyed Vital Heat you'll need this Vital Treat. There is only one James Shinra.
