Brent Davis are mcLusky noise-rockers? if indeed they are, only the jesus lizard can give them a serious run-for-their-money in terms of eccentricity.

    Murphrygian thumbnail
Murphrygian UK's metal explosion rivaled the Florida scene in the US, with bands on both sides of the pond simultaneously redefining what heavy metal was, and creating the sub genres we quibble about these days.

Obsidian One Forgot how awesome this album is, mainly because I hadn't listened to it in a long time. I've always gone back to 'Lowpoint' though, the high point of the album ever since it dropped. 'Birth in Regress' actually sounds better now than I remember; the slowed-down section at 1:25 and the guitar riff at 2:23 really stand out. 'Inside the Torn Apart' isn't my usual style of metal, but the less aggressive approach works here. 'The Lifeless Alarm' is interesting as well, a bit experimental. Favorite track: Lowpoint.
