    Melvin Ah Ching thumbnail
Melvin Ah Ching A friend introduced me to Dengue Fever's music more than 10 years ago. Fell in love with the throwback but different Asian/surf sixties rock sound of this album. I later saw them live in concert and have acquired a few of their records. This first album is one of their best!
    LambdaCalculus thumbnail
LambdaCalculus Bringing back the sounds and energy of a bygone era is a tall order indeed, but Dengue Fever pulls it off with passion and gusto. Featuring covers of many 1960s and 1970s-era rock songs from Cambodia (before the Khmer Rouge destroyed everything in the country), this debut album is a strong start for a band who, with the lovely Cambodia-born Chhom Nimol's golden vocals ringing throughout, reminds us all of an era when Pnomh Penh was one of the most happening cities of southeast Asia. Favorite track: I'm Sixteen.

magoski Living in the Now has its drawbacks.
The more Now the less Was
the more Now the no Future
What is future if all there is
    is nOw
    What matter is Was
    if all there is
    is Now
    The Now
is the blurred edge of Death
The Past is what we call Life
    And Death is
    Transformation
    a new begining
    a birth
The future Past is Birth is Death is
    the Yin to Now's Yang
To Live forever in the Now is to Deny the Truth of All Things
    which is
    Duality
    Flames are Dew
    Favorite track: How To Fight.
