  1. Notturno
    by The Holy Flesh
    supported by
    Nuclear Girl thumbnail
Nuclear Girl Tremendously unique music from a startlingly consistent artist. There are so many elements of what makes black metal great in here, but all processed through a peerless personality's own vision. Another project like Portent, WIST, A Forest of Stars, and Ashenspire, which shows the UK has plenty of imaginative metalheads if you know where to look. Favorite track: Imbres Effugio.
    Bummer thumbnail
Bummer I love Notturno the way I love swimming in cold water. Surprise, a sharp breath, I'm COLD. I stay, and then I AM THE COLD.

Imbres Effugio does a perfect job of filling 25 minutes with atmosphere, eyebrow-raising weirdness, and absolute bangers. It takes so much to make these long tracks work and they've done it.
    Favorite track: Imbres Effugio.
    FuegoMyEggo thumbnail
    FuegoMyEggo This is so good.

They continue to hone their craft, expanding the sound, the space, the idea.

Aoty list Favorite track: Imbres Effugio.

gwcon2006 MEFITIS is a band that stands out among the masses. All of their albums are excellent. Thanks for the Metal MEFITIS.
    IDE thumbnail
IDE They are truly a rare band that does not just add and replace parts to create “newness,” but rather, while working on riffs, melodies, and development that are essentially new to metal, has a unified vision that does not end with experimentation. ★★★

Alice Road I am but a feeble, quivering gnat, inexorably drawn into the Great Bug Zapper.
    Finn of Tomland thumbnail
Finn of Tomland The 'Underwater' album by Valentino Mora has been on heavy rotation this end and since this new album sounds just as nice i had to do my shopping.
I mean, who can live without a bubbly chill-out album with a sonic organic flow that has been produced to perfection..?
A must have gem that comes highly recommended.
