  1. Devils Poison
    by Vomitor
    supported by
    DOOM thumbnail
DOOM A crystallized take of True Metal in the modern era. Not for posers, just straight up proper Metal for real metalheads. Favorite track: Neutron Hammer.
    Choco Latte thumbnail
Choco Latte Following up their classic debut wouldn't be an easy task. But Vomitor always delivers. The 'Obsessed By Cruelty' sound is firmly intact as the band careens off into all kinds of wild audio carnage. Favorite track: Neutron Hammer.

  2. Nadir
    by GROZA
    supported by
    hookzero thumbnail
hookzero Sehr bewegendes Album, Songs laufen aktuell wieder bei mir rauf und runter, kann es kaum erwarten euch auf dem SummerBreeze wiederzusehen. Favorite track: Asbest.
    Nicholas Underhay thumbnail
Nicholas Underhay One of those 'entire back catalogue buy' bands after hearing a couple of tracks. Quite brilliant, epic, soaring, symphonic, doomy and beautiful black metal. Favorite track: Daffodils.
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica Each new Groza album further sharpens their focus and manifests their increasingly distinct sound, such that I have no Mgla comments to make this time. Nadir takes Groza into a clear post-black metal direction, but not without abandoning all of the elements that made The Redemptive End such a great album. Also, I just saw them live in support of Panzerfaust and these gentlemen blew the fucking doors off the venue. Their set list was phenomenal, and they crushed their first-ever Canadian show! Favorite track: Daffodils.

  3. The Devil's Bridge
    by LVTHN
    supported by
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica Jesus H. Christ, The Devil’s Bridge is quite the tour de force from my second-favourite LVTHN (behind, of course, the Wrest-led one) and it fulfills every word of the rather lofty proclamations made in the album description above! This is ritualistic, occult, and Satanic at least to the level of, if not outright surpassing, the more established Greek black metal bands who have mastered this sound. These gents play their instruments as though possessed by the Devil. Morningstar would be proud! Favorite track: Mother of Abominations.
    Brutalist_Receptacle thumbnail
Brutalist_Receptacle Shot a wad of aggregate straight into the devil's bridge toll basket!
    YomaBarr thumbnail
YomaBarr Ecstatic and abducting! The guys didn't squander these eight years.

I've been sick and couldn't really appreciate this when it came out. Now I'm better and my music perception is better and when I have listened to this a couple of times yet I'll be well in no time 😎 Also, nyp is a steal, thanks!

    LTNYG thumbnail
LTNYG If there is only one dynamic combination of avant garde, modern classical and black metal release to own, this is the one to settle with. Fortunate to be living in this digital age and be able to hear classics like this one.

    by Aspernamentum
    supported by
    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 Thank you @mourner for making this appear on my feed, and totally agree with your review, apart from the fact that the current prod doesn't bother me. Can't wait to hear more in a full-length!! Favorite track: Vessel Of Enlightenment (Black Flame Manifestation).
    mourner thumbnail
mourner Fantastic riffs, dynamics and melodies where ever you look/hear. Heartfelt Satan worshipping. Pleasantly dark and with quite evil qualities. Would have prefered the production to came across a little bit more raw and gritty, though. Favorite track: Of Condemnation, Death And The Holy Ghost.
    H.L. thumbnail
H.L. On this EP, ASPERNAMENTUM impress with straightforward but compelling black metal that is captivating and powerful. "Vessel Of Enlightenment (Black Flame Manifestation)" in particular is a brutally good anthem that reaches its climax in the second half with dramatic slowness and clear choir singing. If a whole album were to be released in the quality of this majestic piece, it would have the potential to be the album of the year. Favorite track: Vessel Of Enlightenment (Black Flame Manifestation).
    danieloseguera thumbnail
danieloseguera Glorius expression of Black flame Favorite track: Vessel Of Enlightenment (Black Flame Manifestation).

  1. The Black Pyramid
by The Sun’s Journey Through The Night
    supported by
    mcmnin thumbnail
mcmnin Sun's journey is brilliant and black pyramid is to me *the* standout track. I saw them at damnatian and was amazed by them. Blending dark musicality and tortured vocals which are kept very lo-fi they/he are a breath of (un)fresh air!!
    Hail No-one
    petermasuri thumbnail
petermasuri Awesome band, seen at Fortress Festival and they were so impressive, well worth watching and their music is original, pity its impossible to find physical media of their recordings!.

    🖤🦇🖤🦇🖤 Favorite track: Morpheus Laughing.
    colefarrell thumbnail
colefarrell Too Dark Park takes the environmentalism Skinny Puppy have always had and makes it the main theme. There are elements of rock guitars and hip-hop drum machines mixed into their industrial sound, keeping it fresh. The opener Convulsion is still as eerie as the first time I heard it. Favorite track: Convulsion.
    Stephen R. Synth thumbnail
Stephen R. Synth Thirty-three years later Tormentor still punches you in the face. Favorite track: Tormentor.

Samantha What an absolutely incredible way for Warning to come back with a such a deep, melancholic, beautiful riffing single. Picking up right where one of the greatest albums of all time, Watching From a Distance, left off. I truly cannot wait for the whole album. Update will come once I heard it all!
