Harrison Phinney I dare say my favorite Short Span yet, which is saying a helluva lot given the label’s keen eye for talent and commitment to quality. “Give U Space” might as well serve as the motto for this record. K Wata has always demonstrated a knack for carving out cavernous sonic spaces, and this is another prime example of how to craft heavy music that is also spacious and thoughtful. sure to elicit some whoops at your next gig, and/or wake up some nodders at the afters. Yasohn There's something deeply transportive running through this one: ambient space, dub textures, a real sense of place, but never atmosphere for atmosphere's sake. Favorite track: I Gotta.
