This is 'old school' (translates in my book as cultured and genuine) from a musician of assured quality with a firm grip on his values...

Allysen Callery's folk songs are modern and old, universal and weird, and her new collection is no exception. The spell, once cast, cannot be broken.
Favorite track: November Man.
Slowly backtracking and collecting the backcatalog of Boy Harsher here... As always rife with beautiful sounding detuned retro synth goodness and beautiful and melancholic vocal melodies.
In a couple week gonna get another chance to see you guys live in Riga again! Cheers

I cannot stop listening to this album. This is the definition of cool. Cold, distant beats and passionately despondent vocals. The melodies are subtle and haunting. The vocal performance is mesmerizing. The whole vibe is 10/10. BH is simply next level for this style of music. LOVE.
Favorite track: A Realness.

This album is so fierce. I cannot even begin to describe how much I love "A Realness"... It carries a sense of somber reality and bittersweet tragedy.

I love this album. Wonderful rolling thrums of sound, beautiful bass and chest-humming vibrations of music. Good music to live to.

Came back to this one finally after it sat on my wishlist way too long. Excellent Sabbath worshipping doom with a unique sound and songs that stick with you for days after each listen. Definitely worth a listen.
Favorite track: Dear Lucifer.

While wax is plentiful, it hasn't been easy trying to add tape versions of the band's previous albums to the collection at heddquarters. This new pressing helps immensely.
Favorite track: At Niceae.

Blues rock immersed in 70-ies. Excellent, amazing, awesome, etc...
Favorite track: Silent Season.
The Midnight Toker.
Amazing sophomore effort wish there was more, more, more of this bands material. Can't listen to this and not feel you woken up in the late 60's-70's.
Favorite track: Dervishing.

Golden Void built on what made their debut so astounding, changing just enough to show clear evolution but maintaining everything that I loved about their debut. Psych rock doesn't get much better.
Favorite track: I've Been Down.

Definitely overdue for a new album.

Seen this band live a few times, would have to give them <333 (heart butts, the sunn (O))) of emojis).
Favorite track: Battered & Fried.

Blood started pouring from my speakers during Cain Enabler? Then it crawled across the floor, up my legs, through my ears and melted my fuckin brain? Writing from the grave
Favorite track: Cain Enabler.
Doom King
Interesting mix of doom and smouldering vocals. The vocalist is reminiscent of Björk in timbre and is exquisite; subsequently there are real moments of awe.
Where these guys lead us will be interesting...Loads of potential here.🤘🤘
Favorite track: Black Moon.

Follow the White Wizard into the mouth of impending doom. Awesome EP.

an album I didn't realize I needed
Favorite track: Seething and Scattered.
Dududil
The titans of sludge metal is back. This might well be their best work yet. Heavy, massive, and at times hypnotic. This is the album to hold onto in these desperate times.
Favorite track: First Red Rays.

This feels like a new beginning, forget about everything, just focus on this....passion and honesty, bare your soul....ignore ridicule, or tags that try to define you.....a portrait of a world....what's next?

"[...] Any suspicion that this coherent compilation is a major clean-up, in which cleaning lady Schmidt simply sweeps old leftovers outside to the Bandcamp yard, is completely unfounded. Quite the opposite: If "Time Travel" makes one thing clear, it's that the cabbage master has been doing his thing at a damn high level for decades."

The vocals stand out to me on this track. They are powerful without being overbearing. They are the right compliment to a hard charging instrumental that seems urgent but controlled.
