My lazy take on Spiritual Healing is that it is a weaker point in Death's history because I don't love it more than Leprosy. But a less favorite album in one of the greatest discographies ever does not a weak album make. This is absolutely full of peak death metal, exemplified by creative songwriting, energizing transitions, excellent guitars (especially leads). All the things perfected (perfected!) on the previous album are now being tested for boundaries, which we know they are soon to break.
Favorite track: Spiritual Healing.
