dickersdone The bleakness and softness are so well balanced here. Some songs are definitely among my favorites of the year, it’s technically impressive but it doesn’t lack emotion—it’s sad and menacing, but very calming at the same time. Favorite track: 06 - Unrecognised.

hollowpie Une grosse claque viscérale à souhait ! Un de ces projets qui transcendent les genres et emportent l'auditeur dans un maelstrom d'émotions. Chapeau ! Favorite track: 06 - Unrecognised.

Camel Defacement play dark and contemplative death metal that is as dissonant as it is soulful. What a progression this act has shown, and how vulnerable they have come to express themselves through their music. Doomed is a progressive extreme art opus like no other. Favorite track: 03 - Unexplainable.

ivoiiovi fuck. seriously. this is good. I missed them at Subterranean Dissonance, listened to 'Bodhidharma' due to hype and thought it was pretty meh. I'm sure I did listen to this full album but obviously wasn't reaallly listening.
Then I caught them play the album at Roadburn last week, right up front, and just fuck. I loved every second. then their secret set. I had to buy all their stuff as I know this will be played a lot. I'm so glad for bands that can really rewrite the borders of genre like this.
