Salami Dick Death This is like a long lost EP from Artisan Era Records. The drummer here is a regular of that very label.

Very well done Tech Death/Ultra Tech. The writer manages to find little dashes of new flavor I really haven’t heard elsewhere.

FFO: Equipoise, First Fragment, Symbolik Favorite track: Ephemeral.
    thea_the_rock thumbnail
thea_the_rock Amazeballs! Very intricate technical death metal. I am in awe! Favorite track: Daedalus.

porcelainheart- This band is local to me and I have yet to see them live. I hope that changes soon. This is incredible stuff. Black metal Inter Arma. Favorite track: Senses Amplified.
    fyeahmetal thumbnail
fyeahmetal It's a (very happy) halfway point between Immortal's "onward we ride" vibe and, say, the progginess of later Soilwork. I'm also getting emotional feels like Arsis in their prime. Maybe chalk up the windswept, snowy feel to Minnesotan origins? While the music has black metal elements, it feels uplifting, even anthemic, and the clean, harmonized vocals really take things over the top. In a just world, these guys would be huge and at least play all the European festivals Favorite track: Sun and Moon.
    cvltcorgi888 thumbnail
cvltcorgi888 Reclamation -- both Part 1 and 2 -- mark the heights of Amiensus' efforts to date as they display the band's deftness at bucking any singular genre tag.

Amiensus wefts between black metal, prog, folk, and more with confidence to hew a double able that masterfully displays their artistic chops. Favorite track: A Consciousness Throughout Time.

chrismnyc Excellent, fully realized atmospheric black metal with obsessive songwriting
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One Mare Cognitum creates such incredible melodies and atmospheres through its unique blend of black metal and immersive aural presence. While Phobos Monolith is my favorite album by the artist, Solar Paroxysm is a must-have for all the same reasons. It's intense at times, always with catchy melodies, but with more feeling than similar artists in the genre. This is cosmic beauty expressed through ethereal and atmospheric black metal — and 'Frozen Star Divinization' is majestic, one of Mare's best. Favorite track: Frozen Star Divinization.
    Rentalbeef thumbnail
Rentalbeef It's been going on 5 years and this is still my favorite Black metal album of all time. Timeless and monster of a album.

Lloyd James Wow, do Pronostic have something special on their hands with Chaotic Upheaval! Their sound almost present an auditory Rorschach test of sorts for modern death metal fans, sitting in the nexus of progressive, melodic and technical death metal, all channelled through some excellent and concise songwriting. A superb release! Favorite track: Bare and Wretched.

    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 We get the deeply immersive atmo-BM that SVRM has been consistently delivering over the past, but a heavy layer of melancholy on top, driven by the events and the indelible trace left in a world torn by war. Outstanding work, not surprising indeed, as SVRM delivers only top-notch art. Highly recommended !! Favorite track: Мертвий край.
