  1. Camgirl
    by Crippling Alcoholism
    supported by
    laliatte thumbnail
laliatte This is so satisfyingly and seamlessly varied and feels like being carried along, floating, through a dream (and intermittent nightmares).

Probably my favorite album of 2025 -- hard to pick a favorite song, but the title track is great at showcasing most of the album's range. Other favorites are Saran Wrapped Cash, LADIES' NIGHT, bedrot, and I Have a Key to Your House. Favorite track: CAMGIRL.
    localgobby_ thumbnail
localgobby_ CAMGIRL is a fucking masterpiece. Couldn't be happier to be a bostonian rn. Favorite track: CAMGIRL.
    piramis thumbnail
piramis When she is crippling on your alcoholism and you have to act like a gangster.

This album feels like when you sit down to eat a well balanced, tasteful meal, and it gets better with every bite, and then you get to the end of it and you get sad, because it is over, but then you remember that you can reorder it any time. Absolutely terrific, this has been on the loop for the past 2 days since the purchase. Favorite track: I Have a Key to Your House.

    slowdawn thumbnail
slowdawn Such a gem album. Worth the purchase. Favorite track: I Would Hate You If I Could.
    PizzaPadawan thumbnail
PizzaPadawan I didn't "get" this record at first, but after a few months of it being out, it really sunk it's teeth into me. It's a timeless classic now, of course, and though I wish more people would give their latter discography a chance, there's no denying the absolute powerhouse this record is. This was absolutely the gateway drug to shoegaze and dreampop for so many people, myself included. And now I put it on every year as soon as the air starts to feel like autumn. Favorite track: I Would Hate You If I Could.
    bandcamprebecca thumbnail
bandcamprebecca I deleted Spotify and now I only listen to Peripheral Vision by Turnover and my life is better for it. Favorite track: Dizzy on the Comedown.

The Stargate [Tablet I] The Stargate [Tablet I]
    supported by
    klamath100 thumbnail
klamath100 I know this got a lot of hype, but it is really very good. My most listened album of 2024. The mix of death metal, Krautrock, Floyd and psychedelic rock is so well done (and yeah, parts of it feel a bit like fan service to the greats, but that's ok with me). Favorite track: The Stargate [Tablet III].
    cache_2 thumbnail
cache_2 This album convinced me that Black Metal can be good sometimes.
    marshy_1 thumbnail
marshy_1 Awesome synth prog with death metal, less for metal fans than prog fans Favorite track: The Stargate [Tablet III].

    Heather thumbnail
Heather I wish someone told me to listen to this before Absolute Elsewhere. Most exciting death metal band at the moment for me. Favorite track: Awakening From The Dream Of Existence To The Multidimensional Nature Of Our Reality (Mirror Of The Soul).
    Mohaski thumbnail
Mohaski Frenetic, ADHD metal that kept me guessing and entertained all the way through. Guitars sound great, but wish the bass and vocals were more present in the mix. My intro to the band, and I'm digging it. Favorite track: The Giza Power Plant.

Nicholas Barang I got an offer to pre-order their next album and bought up most of the back catalogue as well, today.

This is sublime. Really intelligent metal with a sharp edge. Definitely a release for the repeat playlist.

Not a dud on the album. Looking forward to the new one, now :-) Favorite track: With Vacant Eyes (2025 Remaster).
    acaDamien thumbnail

Wyn (Ceramic Rabbit) This album creates a perfect blend between tragedy and beauty. Almost like hope falling down a well that never ends. It is in the top 10 of albums that can only be listened to with your eyes closed. Like blind cinema or something. Favorite track: The Dead Flag Blues.
