dharmalogos Good alternative rock that sounds like the best of the late 90s/early 2000s. Distorted power chords, synths, processed beats. For fans of Linkin Park, Stabbing Westward, God Lives Underwater, Gravity Kills, Garbage, etc. I think I like this more than the last Anix album.
    Christopher Billings thumbnail
Christopher Billings Stellar album! Brandon never fails to outdo himself with each album release. Been a fan from the very beginning with each stylistic change. Favorite track: Graphite.

Alex This is the first song that's scratched the same itch that After Dark did. I have been searching for six years to find a song with the same vibe and yota gave me what I've been wanting. I really love these sad synth songs that are perfect for a rainy night drive.

    Dan Hébert thumbnail
Dan Hébert I wasn't familiar with Key's work outside Skinny Puppy, and this reminds me a bit of The Greater Wrong of the Right in places. Very atmospheric with some great hooks and melodies that get stuck in my head constantly. Favorite track: Orange Dragonfly.

noiseclinic1 Succinct, atmospheric tracks reminiscent of vintage Tangerine Dream. Just bought it on gorgeous white vinyl. Lovely package from Castles In Space. One of the best contemporary artists in this field. Favorite track: Daresbury Laboratory.
    TomS thumbnail
TomS Not from a new town, but I grew up in the Midlands. I feel seen.
    MonkeyMajiks thumbnail
MonkeyMajiks This is very close to what I heard/felt everytime we visited the grandparents in Runcorn.
Ominous dread. Bleak dystopia. Concrete and terraced houses. Plus the air smells! Favorite track: Just Off the M56 (J12).

KatieHD Even though I, at times, wish Chris Corner moved on from the edgy, synth-heavy soundscape they've been relying on since 2015, this album makes it pretty clear that they're still interested in experimenting with their songwriting and structure in interesting and satisfying ways. Chris Corner's voice has always been controversial, but I personally enjoy the way it has aged, and if you're the kind of person who likes that sound too, there is a lot to enjoy about their vocal performance here. Favorite track: Radical Self-Love.
