sentient meat Few bands could've introduced themselves as fiercely as Dinosaur Jr did with this record. A consistently excellent band, even from the word go. I also love Repulsion, Bulbs of Passion, Gargoyle, Mountain Man... you get the drift. Favorite track: Forget The Swan.

    Matt thumbnail
Matt The whole band is incredible but one of my favorite things is the power and control of Zayna's voice. To hear these songs in a stripped down setting just shows that Sweet Pill, besides being some of the hardest rockers on the circuit, is a group of talented musicians who know how to craft great songs.

5bagsofpopcorn city music of course! this album is huge to me, so many memories and shares of the vid. essentially used as a divining rod for ppl, "well, did they like city music?" has actually served quite well. I'm sure we all have our songs and artists like that, and consistently for me, it's been the osees and Kevin morby. Both worked extensively over the past 5 years and especially during the pandemic days, KM really got me through alot of strange days.
    stu_mcafee thumbnail
stu_mcafee I think this is him at his best. It feels very genuine and immediate, nothing is overthought or uninspired. I love it just as much now as the first time I heard it. Favorite track: City Music.

Andrew Morris Melissa Carper is a living legend and this album proves it. She is herself and she doesn't have to prove it to anyone! Favorite track: Back When.
    andrewtherooster thumbnail
andrewtherooster Fantastic songs with a great Western Swing sound. Melissa's voice is great. I love the wry humor and the pedal steel playing is fantastic. "Makin Memories" could easy be the featured song in a film montage of parties. A highlight of 2021 for me. Favorite track: My Old Chevy Van.
