jazzberryking there are so many albums like this one, such that i have a large number of highly-specific criteria in order to listen, and this one has it all: the seamless transitions, the use of negative space, and above all a sense for the delightful strangeness of small, quiet things. Favorite track: Watching Boats Pass By.

    after
    the End of the World
    Hope for a
    better today
    Light breeze

    I still can't help
    but feel
    the forces
    that forged
    this
    morning's
    possibilities
    are
    melncholy
    and regret
    wishful thinking
    wishing you didn't say
    what you said
    last night
    knowing you'll not
    forgive
    or forget
    and that's the regret
    the lack of empathy and
    compassion
    that makes
    this all so possible.
    Because it's here.
    In this morning's
    daybreak
    eyes
    turned away.

Meinert Hansen I wish I could be on a sailboat in the 1960s, listening to this album watching the sun go down behind a Mediterranean island. Beautiful cinematic music! Favorite track: Still Moorings.

Alex Pennini Mesmerizing, beautiful, it feels like a song to go on a lovely journey somewhere. Quantic is always great, this is just an affirmation of that quality. Favorite track: September Blues.
    darwyn thumbnail
darwyn Back in the 60's and 70's, there was a type of music you listened to at dinner parties called 'Easy Listening'. Well, this is the 2019 version of that. Nice string arrangements, non-intrusive, great for ironing, eating etc. Put it on at your next dinning event, I guarantee your guests will ask "What's this? It's got a good beat." Favorite track: September Blues.

.♍️. The Abdallah Chahine track really delivers in spades. Just the piano taqsim in itself is remarkable. The rest of the album is splendid, too !!! A happy purchase. Favorite track: Nakreese - Taqsim: Hawwil Ya Ghannam.
