this was an instant classic to me when I first heard it a few years ago and it hasn't left my side ever since. it might be my favorite thing Leyland Kirby has done. there is an unshakable, profound melancholy in every tone that feels heavy and uplifting at the same time, like a trip to the afterlife and back. for people who have played Sunless Skies, it feel like the Most Serene Mausoleum to me: floating halls of marble, surrounded by interred souls, contemplating a dead sun.
