    Leviathan's Sea thumbnail
Leviathan's Sea Daughter is one of those bands that is instantly recognizable, for a good reason. The sorrowful expression of Elena's voice has to be one of the best things to ever happen to music. Gentle, sorrowful, mournful, and yet so human. Favorite track: Landfill.
    aceofcorvids thumbnail
aceofcorvids almost can’t pick a favorite track. this ep has been dearly beloved to me for so long, i can’t do it justice in 500 characters. the feeling of deep, utter melancholy and mourning superimposed upon some kind of frantic energy, like a jackrabbit turning tail in midwinter, and the snowbanks are grim and endless. some of the most beautiful, haunting melodies & lyrics & everything i’ve ever heard. Favorite track: Candles.
    Halone Caulfield thumbnail
Halone Caulfield This track will forever be my refuge.
The words of this song will for ever resonated in my soul. Daughter creates poetry on topics of utter violence, and I will forever thank them for allowing me to feel at peace in times of shattering Favorite track: Candles.

BlvckPhillip616 Perfect! Have not stopped listening to it since I found it. Favorite track: RUNES IN CIRCLES.
    Katalept thumbnail
Katalept For a first honest step into the "witch house" genre, this is a very promising start. I look forward to much more well-structured (perhaps better written) and just as strongly sung songs. Favorite track: TOWERS FALL.
    Michael Kurt thumbnail
Michael Kurt V▲LH▲LL is one band that I have been following from my introduction to witch house and I am never disappointed! This album Leaning on Shadows is a great addition to their catalog and the production quality is amazing! I am definitely a fan and recommend it to everyone everywhere. Favorite track: EINHÄRJAR.

Paul Klee All the fun throwing-it-against-the-wall-seeing-what-sticks experiments. Dong Il Jang tries 15 ideas and 3 of them work, Shibucho (ultimate brain tickler) tries 15 ideas and 12 work, and Shing Kee just works forever into the infinite annals of your memory Favorite track: Shibucho (1984).
    justinlincoln thumbnail
justinlincoln Transcendent sound work. Favorite track: Shing Kee (1986).
    Andrew Neilson thumbnail
Andrew Neilson A tour of noise, loops, echo and simple sample processing to create extremely complex tracks. Favorite track: LIM (1974).

christopher cape To be honest, it is so rare that golden era emcee's are given a worthy canvas to paint on. The fact that Casual and Sadat X can bring it like it hasn't been brought before. Solid head snap production and a taste of the future of young rhyme sayers.

Hannah Coates A completely charming track which blends old Romanian and Moldovan folk and klezmer tunes into something originally marvellous.
