fridge13 futuristic post hardcore madness, noisey and chill in equal mesure Favorite track: Kingbreaker.

Bart This band has become more extreme with their sound each successive release. I found them interesting, but never really clicked for me until this one. The first track alone gives you an idea of what you're set to experience. Blast beats, then a jax sax interlude, then back to the chaos. Great stuff. Favorite track: Well Made Play.

Urso X I gotta agree with Metallurgical Fire: this is The Armed's best work to date. It distills everything I love about them, namely their almost unparalleled talent for channeling frenetic chaos and righteous rage into strangely listenable, riff-laden earworms. An absolutely essential classic in this genre.

Thanks to brother GMurphrygian for getting this in the feed :) Favorite track: Forever Scum.

Murphrygian So glad to find this full octane gem of catharsis!

jay The riffing on here is absolutely stunning and some tracks are even catchy to a certain extent. They know how to write an ear-worm of a riff that will stick with you for more than just its aggression.

A thrilling experience throughout. A big thumbs up and recommendation from me. Favorite track: Forever Scum.

Cal n² Dec.2025: I discovered The Mae Shi in 2016, around my transition to adulthood (whatever that means). When I heard y'all were making new music, I figured it'd be a good time, but man, this album blew me away! Fun songs, engaging melodies, silliness and seriousness, a fresh yet nostalgic sound, and some surprisingly profound lyrics. I'm excited for whatever more you make, but if this were the end, I'd be content. I'm glad you're alive.
