  1. Fragments of a Journey
    by Mike Hans STEFFL
    supported by

Paul Asbury Seaman Some tracks are reminiscent of Rick Wakeman’s early solo albums. Others have a completely modern ambience. It’s always impressive when an artist can compile such a diversity of moods and instrumental textures and still present the listener with a smooth, cohesive whole. It’s also risky for an artist to presume that his particular creative expression will speak to universal human experiences. And yet, to my ears and heart, that is what Mr. STEFFL has achieved here. Well done! Favorite track: Out of Nothing into Something.

    Nickie Harte Kelly thumbnail
Nickie Harte Kelly Hailing from Budapest, Deposed King is a duo who blends post-rock, psych, and jazz into an atmospheric progressive melting pot. There are also elements of electronica, classical, and even some heavy riffing. Rather than seeming disjointed, as it might become, with so many flavourful influences, it is a wonderfully cohesive and satisfying meal. This is their debut, and I’m already hungry for the next serving. Favorite track: Path of Forlorn.

jumbotrousers An amazing collaboration. The remixes are the best tracks but the whole thing is a masterpiece.

For a while now, a Dohnavùr release has been a must by for me - if this set is anything to go by, Kl(aus) is up there now, too.

Looking forward to the physical release arriving. Favorite track: A Patch of Sky Visible Through A Lace of Spiderweb. Dohnavùr Remix.

tistesimeon A brutally raw and horrifying descent into Alzheimer's through stunning musicianship. Super emotional and fantastically crafted prog metal! Favorite track: Stage 5: The Nightmare.
    Lux thumbnail
Lux One of the most gut-wrenchingly emotional albums I have ever heard. Favorite track: Stage 3: The Palliative Breath.
    c_c_chaos thumbnail
c_c_chaos There are many concept albums I like, but most of the time the concept at best serves as a gimmick that motivates me to listen to the album in one go. The Oubliette's take on dementia, by contrast, I find truly moving. On top of it, this is stellar progressive metal.
