  1. Daedric Chamber - Reverence of the Gods
    by Daedric Chamber
    supported by
    Sam thumbnail
Sam I love Skyrim. Daedric Chamber along with Noctule are the leading masters of Elder Scrolls Metal
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: Hircine Skinshifting Lycanthropy.
    Burton thumbnail
Burton Shadowfen is a track like no other on an already kick ass album Favorite track: Shadowfen.

  2. The Knocking, Or The Story of the Sound that Preceded Their Disappearance
    by Doldrum
    supported by
    the_river_flows_eternally thumbnail
the_river_flows_eternally Now that it's that spooky time of the year again, I'm finding myself coming back to this album again and again. Most black metal albums are evil and fantastical, but this album feels real. It perfectly captures the feeling of hearing a folk horror story as a kid and becoming terrified, hearing an unknown visitor in every creak of a floorboard or sway of a tree. Now that the day is becoming shorter and the shadows longer, The Knocking is the perfect album to revisit.
    Aaron Miller thumbnail
Aaron Miller A punchy album that displays phenomenal song writing and haunting scenes of American mysticism and horror. One of my all time favorite modern black metal albums. Favorite track: The Knocking.
    reptilezoo thumbnail
reptilezoo I will forever live with regret that I slept on this album for nearly a year. I will ramble with bleary eyed delirium about how freakishly good this album is to anyone who will listen. But rather than rambling here, I'll just say that The Knocking is fiendish, sinister, and dementedly delightful. Doldrum has really delivered something otherworldly with this record. You need this in your puny mortal life. Favorite track: The Abduction.

  3. Pure Evil
    by K.F.R (كافر)
    supported by
    maximilianstrauss thumbnail
maximilianstrauss What was the first impression of this album for me ? Well, it is dark, heavy and twisted. Pure evil as it is said. Very heavy and dark album by K.F.R and it is in French school and tradition. Vocals are like of a dying man on this one. Dark ambient, that goes along with it, makes it more dark and sinister. If you are scared easily don't even go for this one, but for a trve black metal fan this is A MUST HAVE album. No favourite tracks because you have to listen to it in whole to understand it.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: The Infinite Beast.
    Turd Ferguson thumbnail
Turd Ferguson This isn't just music, it's art. Favorite track: The Mouth of Vices.

    Mercian Sam thumbnail
Mercian Sam A set of proper rippers. Riff-laden, spookeh and delightful 🎃 Favorite track: The Witch of Agnesi.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Addictif ! Favorite track: Betsy :(.
    papadeath thumbnail
papadeath Synthy raw black metal, but I can't imagine listening to it again. Idk, hasn't really got anything interesting going for it, 4/10 Favorite track: Old Kate Batts Witch.

Jason Squitiere I'm finding myself very fond of country and bluegrass blended into black metal. For me it started with Wayfarer, then onto Panopticon and has lead me to this great album. I can't wait to hear Crestfallen Dusk's next creation. Favorite track: The Blackness Come Creepin' In.
    Bart thumbnail
Bart I like where this has started and I'm really looking forward to where this goes. Starts off with juke joint hill country blues, then explodes into some blackened fury. Favorite track: Burn in Hell.

Murphrygian Fuckin killer NOLA Blackened Metal with the sensibilities of Crowbar and Soilent Green. Buy it and wear it out!
    Diabolus in Muzaka thumbnail
Diabolus in Muzaka Goatwhore escapes the post-"Blood For the Master" rut and releases another killer record. This earns the title and the cover art, devastating stuff. Their best since "Blood for the Master" by a massive margin. Rivals that one and "Carving Out the Eyes of God". Favorite track: Death from Above.

    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail

Gonemage is the number one ! Favorite track: Master of Disgust....

    Dr Sküllfük thumbnail
Dr Sküllfük Somehow improves on an already perfect album, one of the best examples of a live recording adding a new dimension that elevates the material even further. The production is incredibly good, let alone for a live recording, and Patrick’s vocals are particularly excellent. Favorite track: Echoes.
    nathaniel thumbnail
nathaniel The sonic space and atmosphere of the live setting, coupled with the excellent mixing and Patrick Walker's more seasoned vocal delivery, really makes this the winner for me between this and the studio recording of WFAD. This record may just stand as PW's truest crowning achievement. Favorite track: Faces.
    Universal Cruelty thumbnail
Universal Cruelty The fall is too deep. The spiral of sadness is endless, every song on this album is just a step foward the acceptance of loss and its perpetual feeling. A wonderful representation of grief. Favorite track: Bridges.
