    darkangel89 thumbnail
darkangel89 The particular voice and it's good riffing makes this album one of my favorites of this year. Favorite track: ROTTING IN THE PRISON.
    thevelvetunderdog thumbnail
thevelvetunderdog For a record predicated on a very stoopid joke/gimmick (or BECAUSE of that), this absolutely rips.

Televiper Exceptional analog synth sounds. If John Carpenter had scored The Wicker Man, it might’ve sounded like this! Favorite track: Emerald Chalice.

An Goblin like being pulled into a stone circle by chanting druids. in the background, Tom Baker is standing at a modular synth setup, eagerly tweaking knobs.

brandon This is an absolute brilliant album I can’t wait to get the vinyl
    katsson thumbnail
katsson I’ve never heard anything quite like this. It’s as if someone distilled everything cool: heavy music, the future and the past, space and fantasy adventures, shimmering synths and finished it off with pure nostalgia. Favorite track: In The Age Of Night.

Swamp Slime Want some of whatever they’re smoking in Tasmania Favorite track: The Clock Tower.

Summer Angine de Poitrine, brings new fun and life into prog rock in both presentation and sound. I think if you like Cassiopeia you'll like them. Alternatively if you're transgender you will probably like them as well. Favorite track: Ababa Hotel.
    sassychicken17 thumbnail
sassychicken17 This album breaks my brain in the best of ways. From the innovative microtonal sounds to the time signature shifts, my mind and body are fully engaged with every track. Bandcamp has the audacity to force me to choose exactly one favorite song, but they are all great tracks! Favorite track: Ababa Hotel.

    Lute FP thumbnail
Lute FP Hoo, boy, this is great. Sounds like an early 80s Swedish or Danish metal demo, like back when it was being invented in real time. But updated with modern production so it sounds fucking awesome. “New wave of traditional metal” is one of their tags, and that says it perfectly. The riffs are top notch and I can’t wait to hear what they come up with next.

    madking80 thumbnail
madking80 This is not by any means a market driven retro movement. Kyle Mc Neill is blessed with the essence of the 70's and he expresses it here with five masterclass prog rock songs, plus a cover. The musicianship in this record is phenomenonal, a triumphant exploration of songwritting. Classic already! Favorite track: The Autumn Citadel.
    lunarvesperia thumbnail
lunarvesperia The whole album is amazing, but the title song is really special to me. Arrives straight to the heart. Favorite track: Heather & Hearth.
    voodoomonkey616 thumbnail
voodoomonkey616 Good lord, this and Seven Sisters SoaFS pt 2. in the same year is mind blowing. This album puts a giant smile on my face. Favorite track: Heather & Hearth.

    yakuzadog14 thumbnail
yakuzadog14 An extremely engaging, well played and creative album that is marred by the unbelievably cheesy "Reminiscence". I was shocked by the unabashed schlockyness of it all, and the vocals are awful beyond description. Otherwise you'll be treated to amazing solos and awesome group interplay on every other song. Favorite track: Go Go.
    teeema thumbnail
teeema Hiromi is still nice! I also enjoyed the Trio project before and this is a nice new direction :3 Favorite track: Utopia.
    inklesspw thumbnail
inklesspw Holy hell this is fun. It's like a throwback to the days when whatever else it meant, "fusion" was where musicians would try to be *more* surprising and creative. The best part is Adam O'Farrill stepping up as a best-in-class trumpet hero, in a very different bag from his own bands. Favorite track: Up.
    Gustavo thumbnail
Gustavo Love that Hiromi returned to a familiar sound reminiscent of the Trio Project era. Great sound, amazing playing and definitely an album you can keep on repeat and still hear new things in every track.

Up is my favorite track, if you saw/heard Blue Giant, this track remindsme of my favorite points of that soundtrack. Favorite track: Up.
