The Laughing Stock One of the most heartwrenching albums ever made. RIP Brian. you were and still are one of the kings of ambient music. I still get teared up listening to Piano Aquieu everytime. This album is the sound of grief. Favorite track: Broken Harbors, Part 2.

crusstation Incredible musical decisions on this album, every track is considered and beautifully put together. The sound of her voice is amazing. Favorite track: Light on the Water.
    katherines943 thumbnail
katherines943 I love this so much. It inspires me in a few ways, one of which is to revisit Richard Brautigan because I wasn’t into him on my first read, but mostly it makes me want to bask in the warm places in my little world and go on early morning walks, not unlike the way I feel when I listen to Dolly Parton. Favorite track: Faces in the Firelight.
    cadejo thumbnail
cadejo Night of the Worm Moon set an ambitious standard in the space of psych folk, but with Manzanita, Shana Cleveland lifts that effort to near perfection to show the ways in which the sound, now imbued with the free spirit of the desert, can be reflective, but also intimate, heartfelt, genuine and beautiful. Favorite track: Babe.

Brandon Petersen Pagan and primordial and unsettling. Lifetime I've probably listened to this collection of EPs more than any other.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: Format & Journey North.
    crimb0 thumbnail
crimb0 this record is the key to a mental place of peace for me. it does not matter where i am or what i am doing, when i put on this record i am able to retreat into my head and achieve peace with my surroundings, and that is a very special thing. Favorite track: Physical Memory.

    Carsten Pieper thumbnail
Carsten Pieper A Syd Barrett hommage on Cuneiform? I simply couldn't resist... and I'm glad that I didn't - great album! Although Syd and early Floyd are never covered directly here, many of the tracks breathe the, er, Spirit From the Gates of Dawn, most obviously the one named Syd. The opening track also contains some Saucerful elements. Well the Madcap was at least partially on board on that one, too...
As the album closes, we're clearly entering WYWH territory, so this ends with a hommage to a hommage! Favorite track: legacy.
