  2. Borden on Borden : Gabriel Borden Plays David Borden
    by Gabriel Borden
    supported by
    Nuclear Distortion thumbnail
Nuclear Distortion Refreshing crystalline layers of hypnotic self-taught retro-futuristic guitar work. It kind of gives me the same feeling of binaural beats. Favorite track: The Continuing Story Of Counterpoint 7.
    adelrune thumbnail
adelrune This is Van Halen meets Philip Glass in the best way possible.
    PDD thumbnail
PDD Simply amazing. I normally find minimalism to be redundant and boring. Instead, this album is riveting and almost infectious the way each song builds to a much-too-soon climax. My current choice for Album of the Year. Favorite track: The Continuing Story Of Counterpoint 6.

Dustin Wall What a complete breath of fresh air this is. An original sound and it goes somewhere, every time. Love the unique cello textures and great interplay. Favorite track: Hope Marathon.
    dianekupelian thumbnail
dianekupelian Yet another work of genius from Janel Leppin. Each EVA album is stunning in its own way and this one is no exception-beautiful, powerful, packed with ideas and melodic themes, executed by a tight and highly talented ensemble. Leppin's compositions and arrangements are beyond description. There is a wonderful film noire feeling that runs through several of them to my ears, and her cello burns throughout the entire album. This album is filled with tightly expressed emotion--highly recommended. Favorite track: Susan Was a Warrior.

triode3 A fascinating album indeed. The drummer seems to play like a cross between Alex VH and a trained drummer like Aaron Comess, at the same time the name itself Platter Base must be Constructed of Moon rock pays ode to the ludicrous but intangible reach of hifi to get more and more to the utmost extremes of diminishing returns from equipment backdropped against the desire to be moved by the pure naked sounds of emotion transmogrified as music.

Brushback Especially recommended if you dig ROKKK, which I kinda fucking do Favorite track: Hall of Force.
