Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) Avec Skáphe², Skáphe lance sa traumatisante saga des albums aux pistes sans titres. Si l'enfer devait avoir une calligraphie, le groupe américain/islandais en serait la plume. Je ne choisis pas cette comparaison par hasard car Skáphe² est bien sûr une expérience aux limites du black metal, dissonant, au rythme oscillant entre la tachycardie et la brachycardie, à l'atmosphère empoisonnée ; mais au-delà de la discordance, c'est une technicité perturbante qui est à l'œuvre.
Adoration / Dévoration. Favorite track: IV.

Ippocalyptica I read somewhere that this project is the spiritual successor to Skáphe, and while that is not true in terms of composition or even aesthetics, Osgraef is very much an Alex Poole project, with his signature elements heard and felt all over the place. This is among the more aggressive and oppressive albums he has ever released, obviously not as much as Gudveiki, but up in his 99th percentile. Muscular death-infused black metal that likely slipped your radar, but should not have! Excellent. Favorite track: Nox Luciferi, Liber Koth.

K. Hungus Lives Eviceration of your soul. This is fully formed black death mastery, not for the unworthy \M/\M/ Favorite track: Mystik Lore - Ancient Summoner of Osgraef.
