Sankofa Truck North effortlessly connects the dots, the grim reaper's deadpan stenographer, reading back the death notes. Favorite track: Where They At (Freestyle).

12212012 One of the things I love about Truck North is his ability to be visual and conceptual, and switch between those modes. He says, "Drug lords playing ball in they dress shoes,” which is a hell of an image, but then he sets it in time, place, and commentary, "back when talking about crack was the fresh move, new jacks play the city like a chess move, the search for the Black Bobby Fischer won’t make the news." Play the city like a chess move? It's slick, but descriptive. That's skill, there. Favorite track: Hard White Noise.

Sankofa I love this album because this is yet another release from an artist as prolific as they are dope as they are underappreciated. Someday soon, may Truck North get his props.

Sankofa Truck North drops are an instacop regardless, but to hear him and Rok both sharpen their blades between releases serves notice that their run has only just begun. Favorite track: Asimov Cascade II.
