katsson Ever since its release, I’ve returned to this album once or twice a year. It always stirs something deep within me that no other music can reach. If I were leaving on a spaceship with room for only a few records, this is one I’d instinctively take. Favorite track: Twice Born.

josedenoche Steve Von Till's "As The Crow Flies" is a soothing elegy of bare beauty, like blooming feelings engulfed in stormy dirge of serenading bliss. As you listen its shivering melodies, you find yourself in a state of ecstatic contemplation, imagining the flabbergasting wilderness painted in darkened colors of loving sadness, as an Walt Whitman poem wooing melancholy in all her grace and mystery Favorite track: Shadows in Stone.

Rumian Rashid Reza 1998-2002 has to be the most prolific period of SVT's career. don't forget this one. Favorite track: Midheaven.

Sean Their most noisy droning industrial work while simultaneously being one of the most melodic vocal albums of their excellent discography. There's beauty and heart in the overwhelming wall of feedbacking sounds. And, as always, the lyrics are thoughtful, moving, and remind us of our common humanity. This might be the loudest and softest BIG BRAVE have been. I love it and then some. Favorite track: an uttering of antipathy.

fiberglasspeacock A gargantuan sonic leviathan. Orchestration and soundscapes that crash and batter, performances and lyrics that cut and pierce. Utterly devestating. This consumes me in a way no piece of music ever has. Favorite track: a shape of shame.

Rob Hammer AYD contacted me by mail requesting an upload of their debut. I quickly browsed through the album and really started listening halfway during the 3rd track (usually a top song). I loved the atmospheric part but my jaw dropped open when the SECOND vocalist joined the main singer using his roaring voice! I listened to the entire 2 times and I knew that this was a potential ALBUM OF THE YEAR for me... Favorite track: Somniferum.
